Ok everyone, just spoke to some bitch at the IRS. I was MORE than kind, then she says what they have to say about the 27th. I say that I want an explanation as to why others who filed AFTER me (I filed 1/29 and was accepted) have their DDD but no one sees one for me yet. So this stupid ass says the same thing over and over again WHILE IM SIMPLY ASKING TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND SHE HANGS UP ON ME. I GET IT YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING SO LET ME BE ON HOLD FOR HOURS TILL I CAN SPEAK TO SOMEONE WITH ANSWERS 😡

I filed 1/25/19 a d haven’t received nothing. Its going on 35 days and the IRS still won’t give me any information on it except its under review. From the WMR site its been under review since I filed. Done talked to at least 5 different people and none know anything or will give me any information. All I keep hearing is wait on a letter in the mail. How in the hell aren’t they able to tell me anything being are its been well over a month? So tired of the governments bull shit!

Thx @jstarr, it does sound like yours is being released the 22nd, but I’m no professional so take that with a grain of salt. I think most are being released on the 22nd, with five days leeway for the bank.
I am, however; concerned with people who are saying that they already received their refund today. Some people received a DDD of 18th, and now they are saying they’re receiving their tax returns today, or received them as early as last Thursday. Nowhere online am I finding anywhere where people are talking about getting the tax returns already if they are pathers. It’s all very confusing.

I spoke to a lovely man named Frank this morning. He was extremely helpful and nice, he did, however, only give me the company line about the 27th. When I pressed further, nicely, he told me that WMR was not updating properly for a lot of people, they are having intermittent shutdowns and glitches, he also said that if I don’t have my funds BY the 27th, to call them back. They give the banks 5 days to post them before it is considered a breach. So, am I mistaken, or did he just tell me my DDD is 2/22?

Yeah it’s pointless to call simply because you can’t trust what these temps are saying. I’d only call if you need to.

You really spoke with a condescending TEMPORARY call center rep who isn’t really an IRS employee. They hire on a boatload of temps for tax season, train ’em and get ’em on the phones for the onslaught of calls that start after filing day. Since they are not permanent employees there’s no real downside for them if they’re rude, lacking in knowledge (or compassion) or if they hang up on you. They’ll be long gone by the time any disciplinary measures would be put into place. Sorry someone treated you like crap.

They literally aren’t allowed to tell you anything until after the 27th. Returns are going to be slow this year it’s to be expected with a month long shut down. Your situation sucks but there is nothing the call center can do for you

I literally got the same response as you. And was told that my refund will not be released until February 27th.

Technically, the IRS is full if sh!t. I called last Thursday and was given the same lame line “should receive by 27th due to Path Act. 2 days later, WMR switched from “still being processed” to “APPROVED” with a DDD of 2/22.
Updates are coming. Check in the morning and every morning including Saturday…
I believe it will show DDD’s for a lot of those who are stuck in that “still processing” phase. My sister is one of them. We filed at the exact same time.
I wouldn’t waste time calling because they’re all going to read the same “script” as if they were all trained to say the same thing to everyone calling.
Fingers crossed for all my fellow taxpayers.

Jelly,
Sorry to hear that you completely understand how I’m feeling but glad I’m not alone 😂 hopefully we get good news tomorrow morning…because it is totally unfair and makes no sense at all. None of it does, I get the IRS agents deal with this all tax season but you’re totally right if they gave us answers that’s arent BS people wouldn’t be calling them all day long! -

So basically the IRS is sticking to what was on their site for weeks (WMR updating 2/23, deposits starting 2/27) and those who got updated last weekend were lucky.
So people who have actual issues with their return won’t even know until after the 27th because the agents refuse to look up anybody’s info?! This is madness! -

I just got off the phone with a rep who from jump her opening IRS statement she sounder dull and irritated. I asked her how she was doing and she just said “how can I help”. So I say well I wanted to speak with someone regarding my return…she immediately asks “have you claimed credits”? I say yes I claim the same credits every year. EIC and ACTC. She says nothing will be done until the 23rd. There’s a hold on everyone;s until then with those credits. I said well wasn’t that the PATH hold that was lifted by law on the 15th. She huffing and puffing at this point. So I say it sounds like you are having a bad day! Didn’t get anywhere and I hope her returns are held for a year!

MommaJess,
I definitely feel you on this. Some of these folks don’t understand why you’re calling even though the IRS site says what it says. However, it’s pretty weird how people who filed 1/18 and accepted 1/22 after me is getting DDD. And then they don’t have a better answer to provide other than it’s because of the PATH Act. They need to provide us with more information and not brush us off then they wouldn’t receive calls. But I’m with you, I can’t get my transcript online, the site can’t verify my info. My car is currently broken down and I have bills, currently don’t have my job because no ride. And I don’t have anyone to fall back on so I really need my money. I have 3 kids and Bills. Hopefully everything goes good.

@Renee My processing date was 2/13….still no DDD or anything except for the “is being processed”. My state came 2/6, so clearly the filing was accurate and had no issues on my end. So no, your processing date isn’t anything except that, processing date. Its not telling you when a deposit will come.

I’m also so upset because everyone else got people who told them something else as well as that generic message, but here I am more than happy to patiently wait for something other than that and I get the rude agent. AH

February 19, 2019 at 12:26 pm #4282443Renee
If you have a processing date of 2/25 or 2/22 or whatever date you show on your transcripts, then that is your answer. Why harass someone about it. We all know these phone reps are not going to tell us what we want to hear.

February 19, 2019 at 12:26 pm #4282438olive
@mommajess even if you got someone on the phone its unlikely they can tell you much. From what i hear they give you very general information so you’ll get off the phone. Unfortunately thats the IRS for you.

I’ve got no car, because of my car breaking I’ve got no job until it’s fixed, because of me not having a job I’ve got all of these bills that are due THIS week that I cannot pay. I have a 2 year old, I can’t be having my power and water go out. Obviously it’s not this women’s fault or anyone else’s which is why I was more than kind but when she’s going to refuse to simply let me speak to someone other than herself then hang up on me after repeating the same thing over and over again like WOW I’ve worked in a call center before, I’ve dealt with the people cussing at me for 8 or more hours a day, and when people were KIND I wouldn’t ever just hang up on them because they’re asking to speak to someone else to get answers. I get that she doesn’t know what’s going on but someone there does, all I want is a DDD. That’s all I want. The fact people who filed weeks after me have theirs for this week is what’s making me pissed that they don’t have answers for the rest of us.

I dunno can’t blame her
, even if it is my job imagine getting hundreds of calls asking same thing and prob rude to them eventually takes a toll -

The 27th regarding PATH folks is and has been on the IRS webpage for weeks. Why are people surprised?

I’m right there with you. I’m sad to see more of this 27th bs popping up. It makes me wonder if it’s actually. true. Sigh.
