Just Got Email From Turbo Tax saying February 27th now!!

Dear Valued Customer,

Thanks for filing with TurboTax. Your tax returns have been accepted by the IRS.

Your federal refund will take a little longer this year
Taxpayers who claimed the Earned Income Credit (EIC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit will have to wait a little longer for their federal refunds this year. That’s because a new law passed by Congress known as the PATH Act requires the IRS to work extra hard to protect us all from fraud, and to make sure you get the refund you are owed.

Unlike the usual 21 days or less, the IRS estimates that people who claimed these credits will start receiving their federal refunds the week of February 27. This is true for all taxpayers who claimed these credits, regardless of their tax prep method.

I got this email on January 30th… It’s a generic email sent to everyone with PATH

I received this same email about a week and a half ago. I took it as just a standard procedure email. Been seeing a lot of people saying they aren’t getting a refund until April or may. Kind of crazy having to wait that long.

Not sure what you were originally told, but hr block and irs have been saying this same thing (week of February 27) for weeks now

I filed with Turbo Tax and have EIC but i did not get this email. Not yet anyway, I will update if that changes.

Lol they will “release” the refunds on the 15th guys…doesn’t mean they can automatically send every single refund out in a day…freaking relax jeeze

Crazy I already got my transcripts and it says cycle date is 05/05/2017 hoping it will come sooner but not holding my breath either

I got this email too. I really hope we get it sooner! This is just ridiculous. There is NO reason they can’t release funds right away now that it is the 15th. They’re just being greedy at this point. It is no longer about “fraud”.

I filied on 1/31
Accepted in 15 minutes and I don’t even have EIC OR ACTC
Only regular child tax credit make to much to qualify for the other
