So, I filed 01.24, accepted 1.28.
I got the ACTC.Both agents said the releases are systematic and WMR may not update for PATHers. But, it could literally be any day between now and the 27th.
I dont do cycle codes, transcripts or whatever else.
Just passing along what I learned.
Good Luck Everyone!! ๐๐๐ค

@fitmommy83 I will tell you this, last year, my transcripts updated on 2/22, which was a Thursday, saying my DD was sent 2/22, I had already had my refund for 24 hours at that point. WMR didn’t update until well after. I kept checking because I was curious. I doubt very much that there are “disqualifiers” that flag you for a weekly or a daily, many people flip back and forth between the two every year. Calling the IRS is unlikely to get you flagged for a review, there was a year that I called them multiple times in a week, because I thought I had made a mistake, they never “flagged” me, basically just told me to relax and breathe, I had done everything correctly. It is what it is this year. Everyone wants or needs their refunds for different reasons, just don’t lock yourself out of WMR, because if your luck is anything like mine, you’ll have a major update right after you do…lol

@jstarr Thank you very much for explaining this! I just got mine in the mail today. they are dated 2/11 so not up-to-date and I cannot get them online. I have 20190605. So 2019=this year 06=the sixth week of tax season and 05=Thursday, like you.
I do recall back in the day those were only sent out certain days of the week-but it seems nothing makes sense anymore.
So I guess like you, I’m due for an update come Thursday-which (HOPEFULLY) could work in our favor!

disqualifiers make u a weekly. a weekly can still update daily however and their are usually 2 mass updates each week. regardless we were given a date of the 27th. tho im not sure why so many are freaking out when wmr doesnt even work right half of the time. keep calling the irs and they are likely to say you are under further review

@fitmommy83 Your transcripts will tell you when you update for transcripts, WMR can and will update any day of the week. For example, my cycle code is 20190505, so, 2019-current year 05-5th week of the tax season, 05-5th day of the week, which for me is Thursday. The IRS has said that DD’s go out M-F, no matter what, traditionally, they were only sent certain days of the week. This is why they stopped putting out a schedule and the ones you see now are estimates based on historical data. This is why you will see people saying, I’m a weekly, but got my refund on a Friday, Monday, Tuesday, ect. This year is going to be outside of the norm because of when the path act holds were lifted. Not only was it a Friday, but it was a Friday on the eve of a Federal Holiday, add in to that the shutdown delaying preparations, and you have a perfect storm for chaos. They didn’t have the chance to run test batches to make sure the updates to WMR where functional, all of the staff wasn’t trained on new processing procedures, I read an article in Forbes stating that the IRS lost several thousand employees due to the shut down. Some employees that were furloughed, never came back. We’ll have to wait and see what happens, hopefully they’ll learn from this and have a better plan in place for subsequent years, I’m not really holding my breathe though.

@Waiting in NC, however, a weekly would update Thursday night to 846, it’s just possible that weekly transcripts will update the day the deposit drops, happened last year. This year, all bets are off for what is “normal” and “usual”. The IRS itself has stated many times that their systems are experiencing glitches and intermittent outages. I hope everyone has a DD by Thursday. If not, I’m sure we’ll all be here willing to vent our frustrations and try to help relieve the stress for each other.

Shlitter tush thats great and all but tax transcripts do mean something and most of us with that still processing message dont have the 846 code which means refund has been sent. So while wmr may not update uf you dont have an 846 code on your transcript then it wont be any day. ๐ญ

That’s exactly what I was told…cycle codes don’t mean as much as you think…it’s all picking a choosing basically.
