I really do encourage you all when you’re looking up information online to verify not only the credibility of the website, but to also verify whether or not the information is relevant to this tax season and not from seasons passed. Do it not only for your sanity, but for the sanity of those waiting for their refunds.

If you’re not sure if the information is accurate, send a public message to a mod and see if they can verify the validity and time frame of the information you found, but please *don’t* just post random links and pieces of information that you found through a Google search without first checking. Thank you guys :)

@Zachary, thank you for understanding. It’s not my intention to post Miss information. While I definitely do not know everything I do try to stick to the facts. Like you said, everyone makes mistakes. :-)

@Carrie101 We’re all human! Most everyone has fallen into believing something on the internet that isn’t necessarily true, whether it’s tax related or not. When one is anxiously waiting for a refund, or awaiting info at all related to the IRS in my opinion, it’s easy to stress and then fall into that :)
