      I am the injured spouse, for husbands back federal taxes. I received exactly half of the stimulus amount we were owed this week. No other offsets on either one of us (I called the offset line to confirm). No child support claims for either of us. Why else could they have taken half? I am an accountant so 100% confident I know the amount we should get – we do not hit the income phase out amount.

          The problem might be your state. Different rules and regulations. It will go through every pipeline to see who gets your money first. Government just giving government money so they don’t have to answer to anyone.
