IRS Letter from Kansas City – Already got stimulus letter

Hello! Informed delivery has told me I am getting a letter from the IRS from Kansas City today. Any idea what it is for? I am in the same boat as everyone else – accepted 2/12, no movement. CTC, ACTC. I already received the letter about my stimulus payment.

Update: The letter was the 4464C notice for a 60 day review. The letter mentioned that I have the option of filing an amended return if I locate any errors on my own. I reviewed my return this morning and located a few keying errors and filed the amended return (1040x). I hope that speeds up the process!!

The 60 day speech is just like the 21 day speech. I received mine right before the 60 day mark last year.

@Igor my transcripts are N/A and no return on file. I’m like Jennifer. I haven’t lost my bars and says being processed. I claimed the AOTC education credit for the first time this year and I read it is at higher risk of an audit so I’m worried since it is taking so long. I filed 2/6 with TT and was accepted around 8:30ish pm on 2/12

My transcripts say something along the lines of “no return filed” and no other codes besides the codes associated with my stimulus payments. My WMR says that they’ve received my return and it’s being processed with TT 152 and one bar.

I called them this morning and found out I’m on a 60 day review since 2/22. Never got a letter. WMR says “ still being processed. Refund date will be provided when available “

I lost bar and tax topic 152 3 days after being accepted on Feb 11. I received a 4071C verify idebtity letter 3 days ago. However, my letter was from Austin, TX.

Thanks Jennifer..mine says the exact same so I am worried. You would think 18 days after my return was accepted that they would at least have it on file.

It’s basically a soft audit.

My transcripts still say that they haven’t received my return, as does my regular IRS account. WMR has one bar and just says “is being processed” with TT 152. Still waiting for todays mail so I can see what the letter is all about.

What is a 60 day review? I haven’t gotten a letter but I just have a feeling I will since I don’t have any updates anywhere.

I got letter form KC yesterday and it was a 4464C (60 day review).
