I understand you guys want to come up with every reason to make yourself feel better. The truth is, the bull is not retro, I.e. it will nor affect last years earnings, it will change next years. The “language” in the bull specifically states this. The IRS is behind people. That’s all it is. Yea it sucks, but it is what it is.

But…… now that I know that the EITC and CTC will only apply to next years tax filing season……I do believe that delays just may come in with the stimulus payments that will be going out according to the H.R. 1319 bill that was passed in the house of representatives on 2/22, passed with amendments in the senate on 3/6, and approved then passed again in the house today 3/10. All it needs is the presidents signature. I could be wrong, so don’t quote. I’m just guessing.

Thanks for clarifying this information. I was sending messages “not trying to misguide anyone” but as a form of guessing the scenario as to why refunds were delayed. So to all that may have seen any of my misguided information… I do apologize. It is NEVER my intention to misguide, as I try to be as informative and honest as possible.

This is 100 percent going into effect for the tax year 2020. I was told by the IRS on the phone that they very well could be waiting for the bill to be signed but she couldn’t tell me that for certain because it’s in a recorded line
