I saw the IRS press release from yesterday. I wonder if this means that since I’m a ACTC filers that this is the reason my status has been on one bar since I filled on 1/31.

Does anyone else take the info below to mean we will see movement after the 15th?

“Where’s My Refund?” Begins Updating Feb. 16 for EITC and ACTC Filers

By law, the IRS must hold Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit refunds until Feb. 15. Taxpayers will begin to see refunds claiming EITC/ACTC the week of Feb. 27. “Where’s My Refund?” will update for EITC/ACTC refunds beginning Feb. 16, with the vast majority updating by Feb. 18.

I filed around 1/11 and got accepted 1/13 and Then on Feb 3rd I got a notice from IRS that I have to send the 8962 Form with my 1095-A. I faxed it the next day, Does anyone know how long it takes to process this? Is there a number I can call to check to make sure they received it? I am worried I filled it out wrong.

@atb043 I agree, I am not trying to rush it I just have never seen the actual one orange bar for this long.
I have been filing taxes and coming here for many years and I have had many things such as id verify, my deposit getting sent back and being audited, but never has it just been stuck in the processing phase. I got freaked out because others were stating that they had a Path Act message after their orange bars went to 2, others have said their bars dissapeared. I have just had the one bar from the day I was accepted, my amount is still there and everything. Just the basic topic 152 at the bottom but that means nothing.
I have no issue waiting whatever time I need to, I just would like to know that something isn’t wrong with my return or it got stuck in a glitch or any other number of issues the IRS is very well known for having.
Either way good luck to everyone here and I hope that everyone sees some form of progress with their returns.

I completly understand that refunds won’t go out until the week of Feb 27th. What I don’t understand is why some people had their WMR update to 2 bars and others like me have been stuck on 1 bar.

I just want to know that my returned was processed. Then I’ll wait for my refund at the end of the month.

They changed it today. It now reads…(via IRS Newswire)
“Where’s My Refund?” will be updated Feb. 18 for the vast majority of early filers who claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. Before Feb. 18, some taxpayers may see a projected date or a message that the IRS is processing their return.
By law, the IRS is required to hold EITC and ACTC refunds until Feb. 15. However, taxpayers may not see those refunds until the week of Feb. 27. Due to differing timeframes with financial institutions, weekends and the Presidents Day holiday, these refunds likely will not start arriving in bank accounts or on debit cards until the week of Feb. 27 — if there are no processing issues with the tax return and the taxpayer chose direct deposit.
The IRS phone assistors do not have additional information on refund dates beyond what taxpayers have access to on “Where’s My Refund?”. Given high call volumes, taxpayers should not call unless directed to do so by the refund tool. In addition, a common myth is that people can get their refund date earlier by ordering a tax transcript. There is no such “secret” option to find a refund date by calling the IRS or ordering a transcript; just check “Where’s My Refund?” once a day.
