Tomorrow makes 14 weeks since my injured spouse form was received. I still don’t have my refund or my stimulus. What is going on over at the IRS?! This is crazy!

Im about to loose my mind wednesday will be week 10 of processing injured spouse. None of the phone lines are open for federal or local irs and no TA is open or at least will get back to me. I’m beyond stressed and tired of waiting.

Filed my IS after my taxes. IRS received it on Feb 16, 2020 as per the transcript. Still waiting on refund. Going on 13 weeks. Factoring in how slow the IRS is normally, I’m guessing I won’t get my money for several more months. Who knows, maybe wont get it until 2021! Sucks.

E-filed 8379 w/return, accepted 2/27/20. No refund yet, no visible movement, and stimulus was offset 100% despite the IRS already being in possession of my 8379. I can’t offer advice or guidance because I am literally the poster child for doing things by the book so you can get screwed over anyway.

Wednesday will be 9 weeks since filing injured spouse for student loans. This has been the longest I’ve waited.

Still waiting. Confirmed Form accepted by IRS on March 9th… No other updates given. No-one to speak too… It’s the IRS and they’re not atleast working from home or doing chat services like most companies that’s not even as important as the IRS!! They’re the means to receive help at this time and there is no communication.

Mine updated Friday(3/27) with injured spouse form received.
DDD was 2-26
Refund applied to non IRS debt 3-9
Injured spouse form received 3-9Weird that it is dated the 9th for the form received. I had checked before the 27th and it never showed the form received until then.

Maybe they were gonna take part and decided to refund both especially if it involves dept of education

That’s my thinking, it’s just odd that they both have 846 codes where previous transcripts don’t show that code for the offset.
I guess come 4/1 I’ll know for sure!

Most likely @brique

My transcripts also show a DD date fo 4/1 – but for some reason show two refund amounts that toal my refund versus one single amount. Is it possible one of those amounts is the offset?

I filed my injured spouse separate after offset. Mailed it almost 3 weeks ago. Did certified mail so I know they received it within 3 days of mailing. Now just waiting on my transcripts to update to show they have the form.

@cmcarpe82
Same cycle however I’m nervous to call last year was my first year filing IS and I efiled it along with my return they still offset my refund and I had to wait 4 additional weeks so I’m hoping this year is much better so far my As of date is 2-10 and hasn’t changed so if it takes the full 8 weeks (cause it was efiled) I have 3 weeks left before I get a refund -

Also still waiting. That being said I filed with turbo tax and had to submit my healthcare forms as I was part of that issue.
Faxed them today so will see how long the process takes. Says it could take a additional 6 weeks.
Last 4 years I’ve filed with injured spouse form and I have always had mine within 30 days despite they potential timeline it “could” take. -

I was accepted 1/13 filed electronically with injured spouse included same way I do every year usually get it back 2/22
This year is different I have processed date 2/10
570 of 2/10 cycle 0405 at the end and as of date 3/9 nothing has changed for me since beginning of Feb still waiting when I call they say nothing’s wrong just that it’s been assigned to someone and could take the full 11 weeks this year so frustrated -

That’s my worry is that it won’t come when it’s needed the most.
Best way to track any movement is through transcripts online you can check daily or weekly. I’m currently seeing my injured spouse from was accepted 3/2.. but that’s it.. I know it’s there at least.

I’m still getting the “we have received your tax return and it is being processed” message. This is my first year filing injured spouse so i have no idea when to look for mine. Plus with all the coronavirus madness, im afraid the wait will be even longer.

Also based on last year. It took 27 days to remove debt after injured spouse form with input. 11. More days for refund. 38 days total.
Based on those calculations 3/29 remove debt. 4/09 refund approved?? Anyone have prior years that would match that.
