      Same here.

I had a DDD of 2/23 by the 2/25 WMR changed it’s status to a big fat no. My husband’s defaulted student Loans snatched our entire refund. I printed out the 8379 and mailed it on 3/2. I don’t know when to start counting the 8 weeks processing wait. I’m thinking one week after I mailed it. So the 9th they would have it and that would start the 8 week wait of processing so I’m thinking May 4th to even get an update on my status IF I’m even getting a refund.

Does anyone know if WMR updates before then?

It’s supposed to be 8 weeks if you mail in the form. Last year we learned about offset after we didn’t receive our DD. IS received the form 2/29 and we received a check exactly 8 weeks after that. Mailed it in right after we electronically filed this year and IS received form on 2/14 and I’m still waiting. I’ve seen some people mail theirs in after me and are expecting checks to be mailed this Friday. Last year my WMR never updated.

Filed IS and was received on 2/7/2017, had code 846 with date of 3/20/17 and code 898 with date of 3/20/17… my soon to be ex has been in prison nearly 2 years with no income obviously. They are trying to take my refund for his back support from another relationship. This is my first time dealing with all of this. Do these codes mean they are taking my return?

I had a similar issue years back and they pricessed quickly but nothing is quick this year ugh.

I wanted to say rciigh that if hubby defaulted it’s really easy to fill out consolidation paperwork and submit it right online. They have a couple of different plans available I was in the same boat and hadn’t seen my taxes for years and I ended up getting to do the income-based plan so my default are now cleared and I don’t have to pay anything as of right now I’m not sure if that would help you out at all but just in case I thought I would share the info
