@sgorham29 I’m sorry about your husband. Child support can be a mess, that’s why I file IS too. I will file IS every year because my husband is a disabled veteran. I work too hard for my coins for it to just go to the state. Child support needs an overhaul and I say this as I’ve been on both ends (payee and payor)!!

@Crobin22, I filed and was accepted on Jan 28th, this is year number 5 that there have been delays. I have gone thru Tax Advocate 3 times congressman 1 time and this year I am at a loss as to what can be done. My husband had cancer and is voice box was removed, his children have children! He always paid but once he couldn’t speak he couldn’t work anymore not that child support cares, so that leaves me filing joint with injured spouse every year!!!!!!!

@sgorham29 I understand the frustration this process gives us. I too waited until June or later to receive my refund. I know of 2 years that has happened and both times I had to contact my congressman for assistance. Last year it came in May and I filed in mid-March. I figured if I wait until the majority filed it will expedite my refund quicker. I had no movement on my transcripts in a couple of weeks and I still show as of 4/07!! I f/a 3/02. Hopefully we both see something more positive soon!

Well thus far all I have received are as of date changes this one has moved out to April 28th – it has been 10 weeks and 5 days!! Every year i don’t get my refund until July or August and there is never a valid reason why it takes them so long……………………….

We got our 846 last week, paper check mailed on 04/04 (Friday), it is showing in our informed delivery for today. It took 7 weeks to process our IS.

I filed 2/05, my as of date is 3/10 and processing date is 3/03. It hasn’t changed not one time. Last year I didn’t receive mine until 6/14, I’m hoping it comes sooner than that this year. :(

Congratulations!!!! I filed Jan 28, 2025 and was accepted the same day, I have received as of dates: 3/10 – 3/17 – 3/24 – 3/31 – 4/7 – 4/14 and now 4/21 these are the only updates I have gotten! Praying for DDD this Friday!

Just posting to give everyone some hope… we finally got a DDD this morning for 4/9. No transcripts viewed just on WMR and this year was definitely slower than the past couple of years but we filled on 2/8 and finally have some good news!

@LolaR – I guess you are right some movement is better than none! I know for the last 5 years there always seems to be a problem, I have had to get a TA every year to get my refund and they have offset my refund twice even with the IS form filed, Last year I had to contact my Senator to get my refund and all 5 years refund has been recevied in July or Aug and I always file in January. I am prayerful that it will come maybe next week???????

Still waiting, filed and accepted on Jan 27th, my cycle code is 20250805 which makes me weekly. So far the only changes have been the as of date which started at 3/10 then to 3/17 then to 3/24 now at 3/31 I did get a notice online on 3/10 which said I get more back (SSA), now today there is a notice in the mail, I am guessing it is the same notice I saw online.

Mine is 0805. I got the 570 code with the very first update since filing (02/21). My dates are 3/10 and as of us 3/17. Really hoping for movement tonight but not expecting it… its only been 5 weeks. I’m ready for the party though! Got my wings and coffee on standby lol

I honestly think it’s best we did file the IS, that way we have a peace of mind that we covered our butts in some way lol. I feel like with this maybe it wont take as long for us to process. Fingers crossed!

Right! Same here. I even looked into it before I filed (02/08) and it said the department of education will be resuming offsets and when I looked it up last night, it shows that the update was made in January. But even still, called the offset line and it lists the debt from D.O.E. so I have no clue what’s going on.

I filed IS one year they had paused the offsets, I think 2021 or 2022, and they processed it fairly quickly..took like 3 weeks.

My IS is for my husbands student loans, I wish they would have had more info out there about pausing them from offsets. I know previously when they were paused and I called the offset line his loan wasn’t listed. When I called the other day it was on there. So that’s interesting

Sooo, I just found out that they are pausing student loan offsets temporarily, y’all, (those who filed IS for student loans) we didn’t need to file IS! I wish this information was given earlier!

@lolar yes. Filed jointly. Spouse did not work all year. Refund always gets offset so I file IS together with my taxes every year.

@Jessi B my husband had to deal with tax fraud two years in a row, absolutely a nightmare to deal with! My as of daye was 3/10 (same date as my 570 code) now it says 3/17. Either way, hoping it goes quick for us all.

I filed 1/17 (early file I know lol) with IS. The first year I did this I got my refund back a week after path lifted. Last year I didn’t get them until August because of being a victim of tax fraud. That was brutal. I have a cycle code of 20250505. I’m hoping it doesn’t take as long this year! I do have a 570 code. When my transcript first updated it had a date of 2/17 and hasn’t changed yet lol. Here’s hoping for a smoother year

First time IS filler. I checked my transcripts recently and have a 570 pending further action. I’m a weekly, 20250705. I filed and was accepted on 1/30/25. My ass off date changed yesterday from 3/3 to 3/10/2025. Just to share what my account transcripts show. I’ll hopefully see more changes tonight going into Friday. If anything changes I’ll keep y’all updated.

@Phusky22 I filed IS from 2021-2023, 2024 (2023’s taxes) I did not file one. In 2021 we didn’t get ours until July but 2022 and 2023 we got our refund in less than a month. I’m expecting the full 11+ weeks this year.
