I have a question about the injured spouse process. My wife and I filed jointly on February 15 and it was accepted. We e filed the taxes but mailed in the 8379 form about a week later. Our taxes were offset due to me being behind on child support. My wife has no liability to the arrears child support. The irs started processing the injured spouse form on March 2. I spoke with the state child support today and was told they have sent our entire refund to my ex. My question is how did they send the whole check when my wife’s injured spouse is still in process?
