I’m Livid can’t reach IRS to Verify

Filed on the 28th received the letter(5071c) last week. You ALL know how hard it is to create an Account online. I’ve called Equifax to get verifiers and it’s still not matching (garbage). However I’ve tried to call since Tuesday and got hung up on due to call volume. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO REACH THEM?. This is getting ridiculous.

Try calling your local IRS office maybe? Idk but yes I had to call multiple times yesterday, when it asked for extension I dialed 225

That was my situation yesterday. I started calling this morning at 6:50am lol. As soon as it said they were closed I would redial. I reached someone at 6:59am and convo took 17 minutes.

If u need to verify they will send u a letter and their contact information is on it. U cannot verify with out the letter because their is a control number on their that u will have to give.

Omg I feel your frustration. I went through that same shit last year. I couldn’t get thru! And they expect up to actually try to reach them during this ludacris tax season?! It’s a joke. I ended up having to schedule an appointment to go into the local tax office which was over an hour drive away from where I reside. It was by appointment only. Once I provided documentation at my appt, the man told me to allow up to 6-8 week to receive my return! I was livid! It was alrdy March 9th!!! Thank God my refund actually came approx 6 days Later. I am so sorry you’re having to go through this. Just another way for the govt to build interest off of our money as they continue to tie it up for us taxpayers.
I hope you’re issued is resolved. Don’t give up! That’s your money!

It’s just sad how we have to fight to get back what’s rightfully ours 😞
