If you’ve had no bars for a few days, I’d be willing to bet you’re probably like me. I called yesterday after days of having no bars and was told we had been “randomly” pulled for review. It’s complete bs that I’m now delayed another week. She said it could add an extra week you your 21 days. Anyone else been pulled for review, and gotten their refund?

Lost my bars sometime monday. Still havent got them back.
Talked to a lady at the irs cause today should of been 21 days she said everyone was the 19th. Dont know how true. But she said as long as they where no codes other than 152 tax topic then should be fine. But i had to call back the 9th if i didnt get a ddd by then. -

Ummmmmm, yeah it prolly happened to you because you went with a company that has a poor reputation that gets gone through with a fine toothed comb. Hopefully you don’t get audited

Just got off the phone with a man from the IRS was totally up front with him letting him know I was worried that all my friends had filed after me and have DDD. He looked into my account and said that my return had been resequenced and to allow and extra week. So I really don’t know what that means. Anyone else with that issue???

It’s possible that they really could just be trying to catch up and don’t want to admit it. I just don’t understand why they’d tell me that I’ve been pulled for review. And why are people who filed after me already getting their DDD. It’s weird this year.

I was a
ccepted on 1/13 had 1 bar for 17 days then poooof no bars. I just called the irs the agent was polite and looked into my account. She stated at this time there isnt any further action required on my part. Most early filers who didnt get processed during testing phase were resequenced. Since the irs couldnt get your refund to you in 21 days it pulled bars and generated generic message. The only way to tell if you are being reviewed is to call them. -

The real reason you lose bars is that your return has been there longer than 21 days. You lose the bars and get a generic message that your refund date will be provided as soon as possible. It has nothing to do with a review. If you are under re iew, you will get a letter from the IRS and the tax topic will change from 152 to something else, like 151. Most everyone that lost their bars were just resequenced, not under review….its just the call center workers making up an excuse as to why your return wasnt processed last week, like it should have been.
Everyone that is weekly and lost their bars should be getting a DDD on Saturday, unless you are one of the very unlucky ones that gets resequenced again!

They aren’t reviewing 100’s of thousands of people returns they are just behind… Very much so behind.. People filed at a historically high rate this year that’s all… They are behind…

On Turbo Tax it says 46% of people who filed on 1/14 have received their refund. I wonder how true that is.
Also, when I called the IRS, they said my return is showing as received on the 21st. Wth? T

Filed and accepted 1/19. Bars went missing 2 days later. No bars for 2 weeks. Have topic 152 and no refund amount. No mailed letters. No clue what the delay is. I did file adoption credit and this may be affecting my refund timing. SMDH

I lost my bars Monday morning and I have been able to pull any transcripts at all. Now when I try to get my transcripts it says that the information does match what is on file. I am going to try to call the IRS on my lunch break because I need them.
Ugh it would just be nice to get answers.

I was excepted on the 14th. My bars went missing Tuesday morning, still the same this morning. I can only order account transcripts, which doesn’t mean anything.

I’ve noticed a lot of people on here lost their bars around the 30th if they were accepted the 11/12th (like me) and a lot who lost their bars Monday who were accepted the 14th (read the 1/14 thread) Im not saying you shouldn’t worry but I doubt they’re pulling ALL of ours for review. It seems like I’ve heard the same 3 excuses come from phone operators mouths the past few weeks. I don’t know what to believe anymore. The irs messed up somewhere between the test batch and the 19th.

I called yesterday as well and was told my refund was sent to the error processing department. Idk if that is the same as being reviewed? They couldn’t tell me why which is really frustrating. I have no bars and it says my refund is still processing.
They also told me I would be delayed at least a week. I can’t imagine what the problem is.
