Does that mean they will only touch your return once a week and if u get no update you can see, nothing will happen? I’m confused how some or weeklies and some are daily. Seems unfair
@Mary it’s confusing lol bc every situation is different but seems identical. My husband is a weekly and has been for years but I’ve seen updates on a Tuesday or a Wednesday before. Not often, but it does happen. So say they work on your TR on Tuesday, you will see the update on Friday. Your as of date on your transcripts will always fall on a Monday.
I see now. So they will work of them any day, thank you so much. That was my biggest confusion
Updating the system for me to see. On a particular day is not the same thing as only working on them on particular days, which was my question.
@JJames your cycle code is on your transcripts under TRANSACTIONS. You will see it in this order (from left to right)

Your cycle code will look like this 20211105 or 20210503. The last two digits tells you whether your weekly or daily. Majority of the weekly people have the last two digits as 05
Your TR is ran through a system. Regardless if your weekly or daily, your TR can be processed any day of the week but 9 times out of 10, the update to your transcripts will only occur on Fridays(if your a weekly)
There are a number of reasons why some are daily and some are weekly. Having to verify identity, errors on returns and massive changes to your tax return will cause you to go from daily to weekly.
@Mary All of your questions are answered on that link. Weeklies are updated weekly. Sometimes they have updates during any day of the week but it’s highly unlikely. Mass updates for weeklies are In the wee early morning hours of 3-6am on Friday.
Dailies update daily with mass updates on Wednesday’s.
WMR updates everyday with Mass updates (usually) on Saturdays.
Thank you. It didn’t actually answer tho. Said changes can occur any of the day week for daily, while only mentioning when you can view changes for weekly. Are they still processing them on any day?

Changes to IRS Transcripts and WMR can occur any day of the week.
When do Weekly Accounts update?
Changes to IRS Transcripts can be viewed on Friday and updates to WMR occur on Saturdays.
