Last year I never got a DDD on WMR. Last year my Cycle Code was 20190605 got my refund 2/21. So we will see. I’ve not gotten a DDD yet my WMR finally updated to PATH message today. I have seen some with the 20200705 code say they have a DDD of 2/20.

I finally got my tax refund! I never got a letter in the mail about a review or needing more information. I didn’t try to contact anyone or a TA. I last checked my transcripts last Friday and WMR last Saturday but it still had the same codes and said the same being processed message. I got a notification around 12 am about a deposit from the IRS and it was my tax refund! WMR has still not updated for me.

Your 2014 tax return has nothing to do with the processing of your 2019 return. And the stimulus checks are not delayed for everyone simply because of the delay in processing returns. My 2019 return is still in processing as well and I have gotten my stimulus already and on time.

At this point, getting Congressmen/women involved is really the only tool left in the shed to get this issue resolved, if they even act upon it in a timely manner. I understand the uncertainties COVID-19 has came with, however issuing refunds is just not a priority now as stimulus checks and bailouts has kicked in gear. No refund no stimulus talked to a TA yesterday and basically told me it’s nothing she can do. I had to file an amendment return which was received March 12th according to TA since that was around the time everything was being shutdown my amended return is not on file so she can’t do anything and to call back if the irs have not processed it in a timely matter. I did reach out to my congressman and set off the paper yesterday. But what’s the point?!!!

I emailed my Congressman to act on my behalf regarding the tax refund as my 60 day review has expired and nothing from the IRS. Taxpayer Advocates are essentially non-existent now as the IRS focus is on Stimulus checks. Tonight is another round of Stimulus Direct Deposits and I hope to at least get it! Fingers crossed! I had issues related to a previous Offer-In-Compromise that needed to be sorted out so I expected to have to wait even longer.

@laurenh: Lauren, my thought is that they “looked at” it to determine your eligibility and amount for the Economic Impact Payment. It might not mean that they’re any closer to releasing your refund. At least they are sending EIPs to filers who are still waiting for their refunds to be approved and disbursed.

I would definitely make sure your already on the line by 6:59 just so you can dial through to get to a live person. Have you tried ordering your account transcripts?

Someone at the IRS told me a day before my state issued a “stay at home” that one of my W2s I filed wasn’t on their record and my employer that I to talked to was pulled into that category but said that she made sure they sent everything and that there was no way the IRS doesn’t have it on file. Am I being given the run around by the IRS? It’s been 2 months since I filed and I haven’t had an update since 2/14. Anybody else in the same situation I am in and managed to get out of it?

You won’t see an update on transcripts until tomorrow morning and WMR on Saturday morning. If your processing date ends in a 5 you are a weekly and it only updates on Friday’s and Saturday’s! So check in the morning fingers crossed!!!

Yes tell me about it. When I called irs recently I was told something about a w2 not reported from the employer I contacted them and it was all sent and updated Friday with the ssa website. I updated on my transcripts as well, 846 3-18-2020. I got my CP05 letter yesterday. Called on 3-6-2020 just to be told 60 day review, wait til 5-9-2020 if nothing happens before then. Filed 1-24-2020 Accepted 1-27-2020. My wages on SSA are not there for 2019. I saw last week that some people’s transcripts updated in the afternoon on Friday, so people who didn’t update may want to check transcripts later.

Filed and accepted 2/23 approved 2/28 for DDD of 3/11. I also filed EITC/CCC. SBTPG Received money 3/10 and paid fees ~12am. Navy Federal did not show a DD pending, but I received a deposit 3/11 at exactly 12am. So once TPG pays the fees, the money should be there no later than the DDD. If your bank shows pending call the bank to release the funds. Til next tax season. 💋✌🏽

The processing date is an internal date/code to have everything done by then. It can get pushed out and resequenced. It’s actually a tickle date to revisit the file. The codes and dates are for IRS agents, and that’s why is people aren’t really supposed to be trying to decipher rhyme or reason with any of it.

So if your batch number ends in 5you only get weekly updates. So usually Saturday. Also with the tax code of 20200705 you didn’t actually start processing until Feb 13 which explains why instead of a DD I got no more bars and being procced message starting Feb 15th so take 21 days from that day not from date the IRS accepted it.

they freeze your return with a 570 code. Then they release the freeze with a 571. Then you get the 846 code to release the refund if all is good

No 4/15 is standard date they put on there. You do not have a DDD if you do not have a code 846. You have a 570, so you will update to a 571 (release of freeze 570) and a 846 pops up if you filed your return correctly/accurately

@Joe the 20200705 informs you if you are a weekly filer or daily, 05 means you are a weekly filer and this year most of them won’t receive updates until Friday or Saturday on wmr. The 570 just means it’s on a temporary 2 week additional hold if nothing is wrong then most of you guys will receive a ddd within the next week, I asked a lot of questions this morning and I called them right at 7a when they opened

My return was accepted 1/30. I called the IRS this morning because I still have 20200705 and processing date 3/2/20 but no ddd. The advocate said my w2 didn’t match exactly with the info I provided when I filed so he told me i need to file an amended and it could take another two months the amount i filed was 45 dollars less than what i made. @Patient 846 code means your refund is scheduled to be sent to you bank account on that day with the amount stated next to the date on the same row. On Saturday your WMR will show refund approved, and scheduled to be sent on 2/26. Usually it arrives within 1-2 days after sending it. Last year, I got it on the same day in my bank account, but that depends on how fast your bank processes wire transfers.

I’m in the same boat as you same codes and all only difference is mine 971 code is dated for 3/9. I’m going to be checking the mail like crazy if you get any updates please post. Everything’s the same for me so not sure why I’m receiving a notice the only true difference is I opted to use TurboTax card instead of having it deposited into my regular bank account like I normally have for years so I’m guessing that caused the flag.

@Joni Taking the same trend as last year, we should get an update on the transcript tonight after midnight (or early tomorrow morning) stating the ddd date which is expected to be 2/26. Usually cycles that end with 05 are updated on Thursdays and refunded on the next Wednesday. The WMR will not be updated until Saturday. That’s just analysis based on experience but you know anything unexpected can happen with the IRS.

@Scott Seems like you haven’t done your math properly because 21 days after Feb 15 is March 7. Second, last year I had a processing date as of 03/04 and got my refund 2/22. Third, 570 is a hold for so many reasons other than PATH, so please stop giving people false information.

Look, we tell everyone that we won’t process PATH until 2/15 and there is a 21 day generic processing date so if you do the math that is 3/2. So if you have a code 570 and no other Codes with a date of 3/2 that is just the generic hold in the system. we won’t give you any other info until that 3/2 date has passed STOP CALLING.

I have a 570 code as well as EIC , last year my income was off by $25 and I had to do a wage verification, my refund didn’t deposit for 8mths. I had the same code when that happened to me :(. This year it was gone thru with a fine tooth comb and I have that code again, makes me nervous that the IRS is going to freeze it again because of the issues from last year

I had the 570 code in 2018 and that code means there is definitely a problem with your tax return! I had to amend my return due to my income not matching! It’s best you get a tax advocate who will work quickly, if not contact your congressman and they will get u your refund! I did both and my amended return was settled in 2 weeks!

@ CocoaPuffs Code 806 acknowledges your electronic filing. Doesn’t sound to be a delay for any reason so you should see an update soon enough. I’m not sure how we are being batched or the sequence.

You have no codes that causes concerns so I’d just say keep checking(like most of us are doing). Annoying I know but we have no choice as we are at the mercy of the IRS, Transfer Banks and your Bank.

I don’t have the code 570, but do have the same cycle, and processing date. They release refunds in big batches. Us with the cycle code 20200705 updated to the master file on feb 13th, but looks like if you have the 570 they must still be holding yours til the next batch to be released.

I just talked with a tax advocate, all code 570 means is that you either have the earned income credit or the child credit on your taxes… and they cant be released until the 23rd.

I swear it’s always something… It seems like every year they hold the refunds longer and nitpick them. I know there are people out there that mess it up for everybody else but it just seems like it gets harder every year I’ve never had to check my transcripts and all this other stuff until the last couple of years. @Denise Archambeau… nice thought but the 20200705 is your cycle date from when your return was accepted, and 5th day on cycle is always a Thursday, OR it can represent any day during the week of that cycle if you are a weekly. See cycle code explanation here:

@Funny Buck … You may not see your dd on the first Thursday after the 15th this year because the 15th fell on a Sat and on a holiday weekend. I think that’s why people keep saying not to expect it until the following week unless you already had an 846 code this week.
