Good morning, everyone. I, too, have the dreaded TC570 with a cycle date of 20190805. It showed up on my transcript on the morning of Friday, 2/22, and I called twice before I was able to get a hold of someone. The 570 code is a generic “hold” code. It’s different situations for different people; mine is being resequenced because the wages they have on file for me don’t match the wages I filed on my return. I logged into my SSA account this morning, and they have 5.5k listed as my 2018 wages, but I put 29k on my return. So they’re resequencing me, and my new processing date is 3/11/19.

So…here’s a theory…with the shutdown lasting so long this year, they haven’t had time to process the endless barrage of forms I’m sure they have to deal with this year. Many of us with this code are waiting for wage verification, and it’s a sh**ty thing to have to wait for the IRS to play catch-up.

If you have TC570 on your transcript, I suggest you log in to the SSA and check your wages. I know I feel much better knowing what the issue is, than just sitting there worrying about it.

Here’s hoping for a speedy resolution to my and everyone’s TC570.

I wish they stop finding ways to hold us up. We all know if there was any errors after we received it they would as for repayment or take it next year.

What happens if the 570 code is in the beginning of the transcript and you have three 826 which are transfers outs to back taxes, is the freeze still there?

If your cycle code ends in anything other then 05 (01-04) you’re a daily with 05 being the only weekly number

Hey guys this tax season has me going bonkers and doing more research online lol.. I came across this on another forum to me it makes my 570 code make alittle more sense I guess and what others have already stated.. Just wish the irs would move alittle faster

Code 570: Additional Liability Pending/or Credit Hold – Per IRS Transaction Codes

The IRS is in the process of matching forms they received for you and the ones you reported. Just keep an eye on it; it doesn’t mean you’re being audited and they should send you a letter if they find something they need more information about.

Hi so i just checked online transcript and my cycle is 20190805 and i have the freeze code 570 no other codes afterwards.

My transcripts state with a process 03/04 and no letter. The 826 were credit transfer from backed taxes owed and I’m guessing the 971 is the statement of that maybe? Would I still need a 571 to clear the 570 or sine the irs already transferred the money to it than it should be ok? So confusing

570 being Eic hold makes sense cause I checked ssa and my wages are reported same as to the dollar which would explain I have no 971/cp0005.

I was finally able to see my transcripts yesterday and have the 570 with a date of 2/25/19 after it and a 971 notice sent cp005. I spoke with a rep and was told the 570 was a hold for the eic and the cp005 letter was was sent out on the 14th of Feb still havent got it. She read me the notice and it didnt say anything specific. I am assuming mine is for wages. Checked the SSA.gov site and my wages only show 24 thousand not the 27 thousand i claimed. The 3 thousand from my first job last year is not showing up even though i have the w2. Am i right in assuming a 3 thousand dollar discrepancy would trigger all this mess?

Almost everyone in cycle 0803 has a 570. My sister is same cycle and same 570 code as well. I really hope we update next weekend!!

Again the 570 code is hold either due to income on record not matching income reported or a letter to confirm identity is sent to you.

The IRS will automatically adjust your income to match the w2’s they have on file for you unless you get a tax advocate and prove the income you reported is accurate.

Your return will be reprocessed on the date shown next to your 570 code and you’ll receive your refund within 21 days of that date with your AGI adjusted if it was necessary

Get a tax advocate now. Didnt get mine till April only because of tax advocate help.

transcript code is 570 with a date of 2/14/2019 next to it and said additional account action pending.

i do have an offset and I’m wondering if theres delays because of that.
