I had bcbs all year but husband was laid off and applied for Medicaid. Denied my husband and I but children were accepted for a cpl months. Husbands job reinstated after two months. Got 1095B from Medicaid saying him and I had Medicaid for two months prior to the time we applied for it? Which we didn’t because we never cld have qualified with his income. I am afraid this will affect our taxes as I didn’t see a place to put it on tax forms.

It affects nothing because you don’t have to send it with your taxes. Just say yes you had healthcare all year and move on.

I had workplace insurance for the first 9 months and then Medicaid for the last 3 months. When I filed my return it asked if I had insurance for so many months of the year and then asked what type of insurance. To check all that applied. It then said I was done and they didn’t need any more information.
I didn’t have to list how many months I had each type of insurance either.

How are you filing? With TurboTax…H&R? That is odd (and I am NOT a tax expert) – I’d be more concerned w/ the dates its claiming you received it.

If you aren’t using a tax prep…you may want to consider it depending on how the rest of your return pans out. If this is the ONLY glitch, maybe you could simply call one the tax prep companies and ask — perhaps you’d get someone nice who could guide you. It might be worth a shot!
