      I filed and was accepted on the 23rd of January still processing I want to call the IRS to see what is going on what do they ask you when you idverify

          They ask what’s your full name, adress related to your taxes..questions about your W2 info like how much you made on it how much was taken out for federal withholding. Then the name of the company, then social security numbers from the dependents you claimed I called yesterday’s& had to give all that info

              Unless you have a letter with a control number they need, you can’t id verify. You can call and they will tell you if you need to wait for “correspondence” but without the letter, they won’t help you. When I id verified, they asked me about last year’s return, birthdays, mother’s maiden name, easy questions if you are who you say you are. Unfortunately without that letter, you are going to have a hard time getting someone to help you.
