ID Verify Letter?

Is anyone else still waiting on their ID verify letter to come in?? I got told by the IRS I got pulled for ID verify and my letter was being mailed out that day. I’m impatiently awaiting on it to come in so I can get it over with.

My transcripts still say no record of return filed and all 000’s. Still waiting for my letter in the mail :-/

I was told I was under review when I called the Irs to order my transcripts. The person I spoke with said it could take anywhere to 45 days which would put me st April 1. He said if I received a letter it would be CP something. This has never happened to me. Will it take that long and what can I expect ? Will I see a update tonight or will they hold it until they’re finished reviewing me ?

Transcripts say all 0000. With process date of 2/26. No codes or cycle

@jenrud I wouldn’t worry. As long as you have all of your proof you should be fine and then you’ll probably update by next Saturday

Talked to the lady on the phone for appt. She read over my account. Was very concerned about fraud. I’m getting a large amount back after having a baby, and not changing my withholdings. Long story short she made it seem like They want to verify everything, w-2’s, ID, and current address now that I’ve brought up that I moved. Got an apt fairly quick, 2/20 at 930am. She also said that all EIC, and Path people would have already updated, had they no other issues. with DDD 2/22. I didn’t have either credit. She said I should expect my apt to be at least 30 mins. Now my anxiety is 100x more than I was.

So impatience go the better of me and I called. Get this, the lady I got just started today. I had her totally flustered, she’s confessing that she has no idea what she’s doing. I’m telling her to look for this code and that code. She’s looking and says I have no idea. I told her to put me on hold and go ask someone to help her help me. Unfortunately that person was her manager, so she gets back on to tell me that they didn’t receive my return until 2/1 and to call back 3/2 when 21 days are up. So on top of everything else, she can’t count. Lol I guess I’m back to hoping either something changes on WMR or a letter shows up, or else I’m calling again Tuesday. So frustrating.

I’m going to the office to verify. Making appt now. But one weird thing while I was on the phone. Lady put me on mute, she said when they make announcements overhead they put the people on the phone on mute so we can’t hear it!!!

Yeah the ID verify is weird. Last year when I had to verify all my info was the same as the years before. This year, I have a new address, filing status, new employment and a new dependent and dont have to

If you filed with your new address, the letter will go to that address

I had to verify last year. Verified on 2/18 got refund 2/23

Well that’s awesome! I’m calling the IRS back. I moved. The post office guy says they won’t forward governments mail. Oh goodness

It was pretty quick, I updated a few days later on Saturday with a ddd for the following Wednesday

Yes my bars have been gone for 3 weeks now. I did not update last night either but I’m a weekly, so maybe tonight or Saturday. But I’m not hopeful since I have to verify my identity first I believe.

Filed/accepted 1/31. Lost bars 2/10. I’m weekly updates I assume. Status has not changed in. Anyway since, and transcripts say process date of 2/26. But all 0000 and no other codes

LAdies, I called Thursday 2/13, and lady told me I was pulled for ID verify. The letter was sent out 2/12. She said call back if it wasn’t received in 14 days. Blah!!!! Nothing on my end updated overnight. So just waiting on a letter!!!

I filed on 1/18, accepted 1/19. Called IRS 2 weeks ago, told me I’ve been pulled for ID verify and that the letter was being mailed right then.

Update: I called the IRS about an hour ago. Lady told me letter was just mailed on 2/12. So maybe today or tomorrow hopefully?

I had to do this last year and it felt like it took forever to get the letter. I think it was a month from my filing date. When did you file and when did they tell you a letter was being sent? I lost my bars 2/9 so I’m assuming I might have to do this again. I’ve been stalking this site and 2 others and it doesn’t seem like anyhas received an Id verify letter yet, even those that were told to expect one. I wonder if they send them all out on the same day.
