Where does it usually show you have to verify identity? My wmr just shows accepted. I don’t know my accepted date because I didn’t check for over a week. My transcript says as of date 2/12 BUT also says no return filed and my online account says 2023 return needs to verify identity and they mailed a letter. They mailed it to my old house so I have no access to it. Does it normally show on the irs refund status page? I spoke with someone and she said she couldn’t see it or knew if it had anything to do with my return for this year. I did get my address changed but not sure where to go from here. I’ve moved several times in the last 15 years and never had to verify identity before.

You said it was just sent two days ago. How did you know they sent it out 2 days ago?

I have informed delivery with usps. It shows mail coming and updates the night before so I can see if I need to check my mail or not. Mail just ran and it wound up being something from my husbands job so no letter today 😭 I’m losing my mind! He’s out of work for three months and we NEED our taxes!

Still no updates on my transcript. Have something coming today like a package but not expecting one. Wondering if they send it with a tracking number or certified mail? It’s been waiting to be sent since jan26th and just now shipped two days ago. Hoping it comes today!!!

I have the same exact thing.
WMR shows excepted.
Transcripts do not show my 2023.
Online account mentioned a verification letter was sent, but haven’t received anything yet. I’ve never had to do this before so not sure what to expect.
None of my information has changed in over a decade.
