I have to wait March 9th for a letter, am I under a 60 day review?

I’m confused mainly because my son was screaming for me the entire time I was on the phone. What I got out of the conversation was that I’ll be getting a letter dated march 9th. That I’ll need to make sure I didnt make any errors on my return and she said they have to wait for the system to update to make sure my wages match what my employer sent in. I feel like I should call back, does anyone know what I need to do? I triple checked my return, zero errors.

Yes, it can be wage verification. I’m currently under a 60 day review for wage verification, according to the IRS representative. They gave me no information beyond that.

I’m not saying that you are under a wage verification hold, just that it is possible.

So if I was told I’m under review and nothing else is needed from me n there’s nothing I can do but wait that wouldn’t be wage verification would it??? They would have told me it was my wages not reported or something correct??

I had my third child 12/21/19 so I think that may be why I’m under review. 🙄

Exact same as you other than I filed 1/24..cycle code..transcripts everything..the only difference is when I called the woman told me I had a 60 day review but then changed it to 45 days during the call. Also was told the 45 days wouldn’t start until I “received” the letter which wasn’t being mailed until the 9th. She was very adamant that I understood that.

Mine is like yours (transcript). Only difference is I filed/accepted 1/28…and I received the path message 2/15 and it went away the next morning.

Not me. I have a single W2, from the same company I’ve been at for 18 years. My refund is not near that amount & if it were I’d likely be more upset than I am. No unemployment. Same singe child, since his birth 10 years ago.

Nothing has changed with my returns over the past 10 years, so I can’t see an issue & that is what is driving me to play this seemingly endless guessing game. IRS rep said wage verification, well okay, verify them then and get the ball rolling… lol.

Do we all have self employment or refunds over 8k or unemployment for last yr. Had new kid or lost jobs?? Idfk. But I think it’s IRS way to get more time seeing as soooo many are under same.review

                          Filed 1/23/2020
                          Accepted 1/27/2020
Path act til Feb 16th, then to received and is being processed. Transcripts I ordered 2/22/2020 have codes 570- 3/2/2020 and 971- 3/9/2020, cycle code 20200705
Called and was told I’m under 60 day review there’s nothing I need to do or can do to wait for updates. My wages were on my transcripts.I’m trying to find a trend to all of us under review. .

My 150 code has 03-02 but it’s next to cycle code 20200705
                            I filed/accepted 1/28
                            570 code says 03-02
This information is from transcript I mail ordered 2/22.

Sounds like u didn’t meet the deadline last week when ur wages got posted. U should be good for a DDDate this Saturday! 🙏🙏 I don’t know, but it sounds like u are complete. Hopefully ur codes will pop up Thursday night.

@justpeachie, I think they resequence everyone they pull for review. It’s like standing in line, and when you get all the way to front, they hand you something and say, “When you’re finished, get back in line at the end.”

If I recall correctly, we have the same issues. I think the basic difference is that you are 20200705 & I am 20200805. Just out of curiosity, my code 150 states 03-09-2020 (beside my cycle code), what date do you have? I filed/accepted on 02/02, today is 03/03 & my transcripts are complete (except the 571 & 846). IRS says verifying wages, but they are on my transcript as of 02/22. Just curious if I was possibly re-sequenced.

The 150 code is when return is received. So they are putting people’s returns in a holding pattern and processing later???!! This whole situation is so frustrating for all of us. I feel so defeated.

I decided to pull my transcript up this year after not getting a refund until June of last year , for my 2018 taxes.

I see I have a slew of codes , but what is confusing is many are ” future dated ”

                                      I filed on 2/4/20
                                      my 150 is 3-9-20
                                      806 is 4-15-20
                                      766 is 4-15-20
                                      570 is 3-9-20 ( additional account action pending )
                                      971 is 3-16-20 ( noticed issued )

Spoke to someone said a letter was sent out on 2/19(haven’t received yet) for missing information. After I mail back with whatever is needed any idea on how long it will take for me for to receive my refund?

I’m not sure there’s much you can do at this point, but you could always call the tax advocate line if you absolutely cannot wait any longer. The pre-dated letter thing is odd, I wonder why they couldn’t send it already? Who knows. Good luck!

You can try contacting a tax advocate to see if they can help you, but essentially it’s just a waiting game at this point. I’m in the same situation, but my letter was dated for 2/19 and I didn’t receive it until 2/28 and I’m still waiting for an updated. I filed 2/05
