I efiled my tax return on January 21st, accepted on the 22nd. Got a letter in the mail on Feb 15, but it was dated February 9th, requesting information showing I paid for marketplace coverage. I do not have marketplace coverage nor have i ever. I am however eligible for an exemption, members of a recognized Native American tribe. So I responded via fax with a form 8965, with the exemption information. Faxed it in on Feb17. On Feb 23rd I got another letter from the irs requesting a 1095a, newly computed page 2 etc. This letter was dated Feb17 so I don’t know if it was just sent before receiving my information or what. So I again responded with a typed letter stating I did not have marketplace coverage and had previously faxed my exemption info along with membership cards and ss cards, all faxed on the 23rd. I talked to the irs twice this morning, they failed to give me any insight as to what is going on. This is so stressful!!! Any suggestions??? Or similar circumstances? ??
