Forgot to include 4500 on the Advanced Child Tax Credit. Will the IRS correct that or do I have to file an amended return down the road?

Last year I made mistake putting in how much stimulus I got and they corrected it. My wmr went from one bar to your return is “still” being processed. Took about a week longer to get return but they adjusted

Absolutely!! I wouldn’t amend it until after the fact and yes by that I mean after I get my refund AND no adjustment. That much I knew. I am hoping they catch it. I realized it afterwards because something seemed off however I did not receive this letter. I had to look it up.

            Thank you!!

Do not amend and I mean it do not amend even if they don’t adjust your return. If it’s been accepted and processing with no problem then wait till you get your refund. So after you get your refund if the missing credit isn’t added in then you should amend. BUT HEED MY WORD LIKE YOU WERE READING THE BIBLE LOL DO NOT AMEND TILL YOU GET YOUR REFUND AND ITS NOT ADDED(you will know its added if your refund is more then what you were told when you finished filling)

I believe the IRS will correct and keep the process going.
