HRBlock 2/11 DD crew Any early deposits.

Just wanted to make a topic for people who use HRBlock and get their fee’s taken out of their refund. Have you gotten it early this year?

I have used HRBlock every year so far and I do get it maybe a day or 2 early. This year is the only year I used my bank account instead of the Evil emerald card.

Have you gotten your refund yet? if so Congratz

Guys, seriously, it’s not going to take 3-5 more days to get your refund through HRB. They would lose so much business if that were true. I’ve filed with HRB for over a decade and I always get my money on the DDD. Sometimes it’s been earlier. I even get my money before HRB updates their own status for my return. It might take 3-5 days for your personal bank to process, but HRB doesn’t hold funds. Hold tight and hang in there until tomorrow.

iv done h&r for 9years and always have fees taken out. I always get it on the same ddd that irs sends it.
the only time there was a delay was US bank was holding everyones for a week for no reason. I was very upset. I HATE US Bank!

I’m not too thrilled either. Trying to get thru to another agent via the chat. (i’m at work, can’t sit on hold on the phone all day) i’ll let you know what this one tells me. I wonder if the 3-5 days is like a standard response to cover their @$$… I’ve always had fees taken out and but the last two years i had an offset due to student loans so i am trying to think back to the year before andi don’t recall it ever being this confusing. I do think my money was there the morning it was supposed to be though… Stay tuned, i’ll let you know what this agent says!

So mad. Not able to get a direct same answer from anyone at H&R block. DD for tomorrow 2-11. Had H&R block take fees out. Was told twice now that once H&R block takes fees it will be sent in 3-5 days to my bank????? ACH deposits don’t suspend in air they go to the point of destination. I will never have my fees deducted again, I will always pay upfront.

There’s no temp acct # on my return, just my personal bank acct info… SO confused. It needs to be tomorrow already so i can just know lol. Good luck to you!

Mine is being sent to my bank. On my tax return there is a temporary account number which belongs to H$R Block. I don’t think I am too knowledgeable with this. Lets just hope our money is there tomorrow:)

@chris i spoke to an agent for HR Block yesterday via their live chat and she told me that HR Block never gets our refunds, that the irs sends the fees to them and the rest to us. Like thru 2 different direct deposits. Which kind of makes sense to me, because when i look at my return, the only DD info on there is my own, nothing on there says HR Block bank…. If they were to get my money first, wouldn’t the DD info on my return show like a temp acct thru them or something? i guess i should have taken time to read the fine print. I keep googling HR Block bank to see if i can find like the terms and conditions of them taking the fees out of your refund and have had minimal success… So we’ve been told two different things by their agents… i even asked the girl who was “chatting” with me if her answer was a definate thing and she said it was what her floor supervisor told her. So idk anymore.

@andrea. I know. When I asked my tax preparer about this he said the 3-5 days disclaimer is suppose be regarding your own bank and when they release funds. Getting two different versions is ridiculous and since this is my first time having fees taken out and then sent on to bank, I am unsure of the real answer.

Just an FYI. Talked to H&R block at the 1800 number. Gentleman told me that when they receive the DD they take their fees and then it will take 3-5 days to hit my bank???? I am a dd of 2/11. My bank posts in real time so why would it take so long. When I said that seems like your bank is holding it he said nothing??? So I am not sure that the money will be in the account tomorrow.

My DDD is tomorrow, no surprise early deposit for me. it had better be there tomorrow like it’s supposed to be. That is all! Today is 21 days since i filed, the waiting is torture and i won’t be ok until i see that money in my account. I’m sure it’s the same for most everyone else that’s been waiting forever too.

@Stuck – I have DD going to my walmart card too, I called to see if they saw any pending deposits and the lady told me that she didn’t have anything but that they have an option to get a text message sent to your phone when a deposit is made and that as soon as they get the money it will be made available. I used it last year also and I don’t remember getting it early, but it definitely wasn’t delayed at all

Filed with HRB and had fees taken out. DD is going to my Walmart Money Card… nothing yet as of evening 2/9.
If nothing by 6am, probably won’t hit until the DDD

@ Erin H&r will tell you anything to get you off the phone.at midnight is my 21 days and the 11th is 22 days for me and they don’t seem to know anything there customer service is lacking but that my appenion so with that I think we can see things change tomorrow

Either way I can’t do nothing til the weekend. Still have to work so I don’t care if it comes tomorrow or Wed. I just want the funds in my account so I don’t have to worry about getting stuck in another glitch. =)

I wasn’t an early filer I filed 1/26 got stuck in the vortex and last thursday finally got an update saying 2/11

I have a DDD for 2/11 with the Emerald Card. If it helps, an HRB rep told me today that the funds will probably NOT come early if the IRS scheduled the DDD date. Many of us who were early filers were told 2/11 by HRB because it’s literally the day after our 21st day and the system automatically puts that day in there for the reps. But, if the IRS says 2/11, it will almost certainly not be on your card before 2/11. I’m sure there are exceptions to that.

HRB does not delay posting to your Emerald Card if you have prep fees/Emerald Advance coming out of your return. Those fees are pulled in minutes and the rest of the money is made available to you.

There is a Facebook group called H&R Block Emerald Card Holders. Everyone in this group has reported that they received their refunds on their Emerald Cards before 10:30 am, the day of the DDD. No one has gotten any money early – yet. Not saying it can’t happen. Just saying it’s not likely to happen.

I haven’t seen mine yet. DDD is 2/11. Also used my own account and not an emerald card. Let me know if you get lucky and get yours tomorrow lol. :)
