So the last 2 years I’ve filed with TT and loved them since I could file for just the $40.00 fee in case something went wrong. But this year since my husband’s mom works for h&r block again…we filed with her and she done it for free with a coupon code except for the $35 transfer fee. plus we got the $500 advance. I have a DDD of 2/23 and she let me know that the $35 fee has been paid out of my refund so hopefully we will get out DD tonight or tomorrow night 😰

          @ patatoe

You look at this through that lens if you choose,
          But……….

Fact #1: they charged me $314 to file a simple 1040A
Fact #2: I was not told what the service fee’schedule were until after the taxes were finished.
Fact #3: their phone reps consistently were caught bold face lying to thousands of people this tax season.
If you think this corporation was on the side of us (consumers) I’d have to accuse you of delusion, or coercion. I don’t know if anybody else has looked for motive, but I did.
This bank makes 2.4 cents for every thousand dollars it holds in a days period. Think about that for just a minute.

I just wanted to give hope to those that file with H&R Block I’ve been using H&R Block for well over 9 years now I was impacted by the path Act this year I filed on the 13th got accepted on the 17th went to processing 18 of January got the path message on the 2nd of February got updated on the 18th to refund approved with the due date for the 23rd. I have the Emerald Card and I called just now and was told that I have a deposit waiting from the IRS for the 23rd. All these where to be paid with this return. I just wanted to tell everybody to be patient with H&R Block this is not their fault it’s the IRS that took everyone through the wringer this year! I called the H&R Block and spoke to some of the representatives and even some of them were impacted by the path Act, they told me they were waiting like me to so for some reason this year the government did what they did and through everybody off but H&R Block has been faithful and good to our family! November roll around when you don’t have that Christmas money you can always go to them and get an advance! This January if you file with H&R Block you had they gave you the opportunity to credit you $1,200 upfront to help take some of the out off those that were impacted by the Act. So H&R Block is truly on our side please be patient with them I am expecting my money in the morning I will let you guys know if I get it I am hopeful.

                  Filed 1/22
                  Accepted 1/23
DDD 2/23 with fees taken out

I just talked to a customer service rep and she told me that my funds were sent out already to my card and it should appear between 7pm-12am tonight or in the morning so I have SOME faith in H&R Block but next year?? I’ll be back to TT with Netspend

I called hrb and just asked if I had any outstanding balance for fees. She looked at my account and said no. So then I asked if that meant my refund should have been sent to my bank…her story then changed and she said I did owe fees, that they had not received a deposit from the irs and that it should come in tomorrow. My ddd is 2/23 (tomorrow). I asked her why she had originally told me I had no balance for fees and she stuttered for a second and gave me some story about how she though I meant from before??? So I hope that she messed up and told me the truth originally then went back to script when she realized why I was asking…

Yeah, I wasn’t saying her MIL was wrong or lying..just that almost everyone else was. I talked to the woman who filed my taxes today. She actually told me that they have no way to check if they have my money or if my fees were paid. Seriously? There is no way to know? Right..I totally believe that.

well,i tend to believe kacie and her mother in law as opposed to a random agent at hrblock, sorry, caps dont work on this laptop, gonna get a new one as soon as my dang refund hits
anyway, they must be rolling in, idk if hrb collects interest on them or what, but they need to release soon….

I am so sick of H&R Block. I have seen a few people say they called and asked if H&R Block had their money yet, and were told no. Then they asked if they owed any fees, and were also told no..so their fees had been paid, which means H&R Block lied about not having the money yet. It was one thing when I saw ONE person say something like this, but now I have seen 4 different similar posts and I am just so annoyed.

I just got off the phone with H&R. DDD 2/23, they said no fees have been paid, or taken for mine, and no sign of deposit pending.
