Last year and the year before, we filed with Credit Karma, it was free and it was basically a plug in your info and go. We ran into some issues last year and found out there was no support, zero. So this year, we still want to e-file on our own, very simple basic return, we didn’t know where to go. We are considering HR Block or Turbo Tax. What are some experiences? Pros and Cons? TYIA

STARTED using TT a year ago..and now this year, and never an issue. Not sure block was helping us get everything we could back. I use to use EZTAXRETURN.COM …but they were a little pricey..but not too bad..never had an issue with them either. I would stay away from block though. They love issuing those refunds in 3 days when really all they are is loans on your own money lol…and they make huge profit on that.

The refund goes to a certain bank before your card for fees to be taken out. When it’s time, you can actually put in your info to see when they receive it. The added delay is negligible. You could have put your own bank info for direct deposit though

So, we went with Turbo tax, nice way to slip additional fees in, we chose the option of taking fees from our refund which made the price jump from 30.00 to 70.00, they charge 40.00 for that convenience, also issued me a card that I did not ask for to have my refund loaded on. In anyones experience, does it delay your refund having them take their fees out?

                Hi!

I’ve used turbotax for the last 9 years, never had a major issue. I like the new updates to the system but with new updates come new prices which suck.

Always have used (for years) Turbo Tax, and I have never had any problems whatsoever. That’s my experience.
