So I used HR Block and had them deduct the fees from my refund. Meaning they put a Axos bank account in the DD line on my 1040. They swear they also sent the IRS my real bank info and that I will be paid via DD. I’ve heard that is totally not the case. Not interestingly I am getting my refund on Monday. So that bank account is active. Does anyone have any more info than I do right now and am I about to get really boned. I feel like I may be.

I just spoke to hr block. They said the irs is still deciding whether or not to send through emerald card for people with refund transfer because they want to make sure we will receive the full amount of our stimulus package. Said the earliest they would know something would be Thursday April 16TH

@ Bub1083 See I’ve been told that and I’ve also been told I wouldn’t have to. The official twitter account told me I wouldn’t yesterday. I don’t believe any of them and I’m assuming they don’t really know. I’m also assuming I’ll need to freaking use that portal. I’m just getting my refund now so the axos bank account they used is still active. I just hope they don’t eat my money.

I chatted with H&R Block last night. They said that people who had their fees deducted from refund will have to enter their banking info on the IRS website. We can’t do it yet, they’re supposed to have the site ready April 17. The site will have a payment portal for people to check the status of their stimulus check and update bank account info if needed,

From an hrblock web chat today
If you received a refund to a bank account with Refund Transfer, it will be deposited to the bank account you used for the Refund Transfer disbursement. The timing is still being determined by the IRS.
The irs opened the portal today
https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/treasury-irs-launch-new-tool-to-help-non-filers-register-for-economic-impact-payments…I may go ahead and use it. Can’t hurt right?

I am in the same boat. I spoke at length to two different reps and my local office. Both the refund and stimulus will go to axos then to us. So no worries.

I spoke to someone with the emerald card at hrblock. They said people who didn’t get the refund advance and had their refund deposited on an Emerald would get their stimulus payment on or around the 15th
