H&R Block Emerald Card Early DD??

I got a DDD for 2/10 filed and accepted on Jan 28th using HR Block online and I had my refund get sent to my Emerald Card.

I seen in alot of forums about people getting their deposits early using netspend and other prepaid cards but nothing about Emerald.

So does anybody know what’s going on with that?

I filed and it was accepted was told my refund would be DD on March 9, to my Emerald Card. It is going on 14th and still no money! Anyone else who has this problem?

I filed with h&r block on 3/3/16 accepted on 3/3/16 when should I expect my return it was a schedule c 1099 return with receipts from my small business I got the emerald card but dont wanna be waiting a month before I get my return also filed a late 2013 return it would be ridiculous if I got my paper return before the e filed one but what would be my expected/ projected ddd thanks for any help

Ddd 3/2, from reading all the posts in here it looks like emerald card always loads on the actual dd date after 3am eastern so I guess tomorrow night at this time I will be rich! (For a week lol). If anybody gets money on emerald card please let us know thanks!! Oh I have fees coming out too.

I have over 400 missing called this morning and it was not irs this time it was hr block they said I owed fees to them last year so over 900 dollars hrb to for this year and last wow and a 208 offset that is over 1000 dollars in all something I could of used .. damn you hrb I think I am going to file mine myself nexted year….

Has anyone ever had any issues missing money? We were supposed to get back over $10,000 but even with the offsets coming out we should have still got over $7000 back but only $3900 was loaded to our emerald card. Im not only worried becwe are homeless right now with 4 kids and was going to use that money to get into a house but pissed off because we are missing $4000

Just made an account to get on here to let you guys know that I got my refund loaded on to my Emerald Card from HR Block just now. 1:15AM CST I live in South Dakota. FILED 1/21 ACCEPTED 1/22 DDD: 2/10. I got an emerald advance, I have 7k PLUS from my refund. so hope all of this helps you guys all. I know you guys helped me. Very happy and glad that they have a place like this to share our concerns together. Hope I don’t have to come here next year! lol. Have a good refund season everybody!

DDD DATE 2/10 checked my emerald card says funds to be deposited tomorrow. This year many people waited longer than past years but it’s not HRB it’s the IRS.

DDD 2/10 to Emerald card with fees taken out.
I just called to check my balance and it says “We’ve received notification from the IRS that your return has been processed, the funds will be deposited into your card February 10” Tomorrow is my 20th day. I’ve used H&R Block for years and it’s never taken this long. I am glad however to know that I’ll have my refund tomorrow. Good Luck Everyone! I know it’s hard to wait when you actually need your refund.

I can honestly say no time during my filing process did the tax preparer tell me anything about a 3-5 day wait on direct deposit to my bank. I guess it wasn’t a important piece of information to pass along. Thanks HRB.

@Jay, I called it, the card does say that.I’ve read many complaints on other pages and one thing that is standing out the most to me is how others like myself have been told that the emerald card is the faster route to getting your refund.Yet the H&R reps. are trying to say in response to those allegations that we allllll must of misunderstood them in someway or another.I know what the lady who did my taxes said to me.It’s ridiculous,but out of our hands for now.Thank you for your response.I will update when it’s loaded to my card.

My DD day is also February 10th,2016.I called today the customer service woman said that my money is supposed to be on my Emerald card February 12th.I was told that the emerald card was the faster way of getting my refund.I filed January 20th and it was my first time at H&R block and my last.I have never waited this long.I hope it’s on my card tomorrow,but we will see.

I filed January 28th and got accepted the same day I’m and I’m getting my funds loaded onto the emerald card. I’m still on the first bar and people I know that filed the same day or after me have a direct deposit date is this happening to anybody else

I have seen several people with pending deposits that used H&R. This was on I Got My Refund on Facebook. And yes, fees taken out. I haven’t seen anyone with the Emerald Card get theirs though. It’s just not cut and dry for everyone. Just because they hold your refund every year doesn’t mean that happens to everyone.

@all34 this is why so many are mad on hrblocks forums and on facebook because the tax preparers are not giving out the 3-5 day info like they are suppose to. But then on the forums their community manger is telling people with fee’s they will be waiting extra and its reps on facebook are telling people so at this point it looks like some will have a extra wait.

Wow! When we got ours done our preparer never said anything to is about this at all! And we even asked!!!!! This makes me so mad because of course we had fees taken out and have a traditional bank account. This is he first year we’ve used them in years. I just called HR Block after reading this and the woman I spoke to was in a call center, however she was very friendly. She did tell me that they can hold funds up to 3-5 days if you had your’s fees taken out of your taxes but was able to tell me that mine was not selected for that 3-5 day wait. So I’m not sure how it works. She also told me that my funds hadnt been received by their bank (BofI) yet either. Which means the additional wait is an issue with the IRS, not HR Block. However my DDD is 2/10 so we will see what happens. I’ll keep you posted.

This WILL BE my last year with HRB. I’ve used them for over 17 years and had the same preparer for the last ten years (with exception to this year). I understand now why she left. This is some bull***!

One preparer in the office is saying they don’t hold for additional days, they are posting they do hold for additional days, and as a client for more than a decade & a half, I’ve NEVER seen them hold my funds beyond the DDD! NEVER! For those that have, that is unique to me, because I never even heard of that until THIS tax season! (I’m not going to debate if it’s true or not)

Regardless, if it’s true, HRB YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM ON YOUR HANDS …

Renee Adams I called and the lady told me that it wouldn’t take 3-5 days I also went back and read all my RAC papers and didn’t see anything about taking an extra 3-5 days unless you got a check it would be an extra 5-7 days but if one of these H&R block ppl can post and show where I missed it in the paper work I would greatly appreciate it

Addy Coco HR Block, how can it take 3 to 5 business day when it’s ACH online transferring it never takes that long I have money transfer that way all the time it’s same day or over night. I hope your bank does not hold my money to get interest off of it. I will never pay with my return if that happens

Just go read the 100’s of angry people on hrblocks facebook today posting how mad they are that hrblock is holding their money for 3 to 5 days and their own rep telling people that they are doing it. You can disbelieve all you want but you can see their own reps on facebook and the hrblock forums telling people about the 3 to 5 day hold. Also we have been fileing with them for ten years and I have seen them first hand hold funds for anywere from 3 to 5 days. I truly hope they don’t this year I would love to have it on time or early but I have little hope it will since their reps have been telling people 3 to 5 days on all their social media sites.

@all34 hate to tell you but yes hrblock loves to hold funds for 3 to 5 days after they take their fee’s. Dont matter if you use their card or another card its just how they work . If someone has their money going thru hrblock bank add 3 to 5 days to you ddd

I don’t have the emerald card I have a traditional bank account, but filed through H&R and all I have seen on other forums is they have been telling people that the 10th is the date they get their fees and that we will have to wait an additional 3-5 days. I really hope that isn’t true and we get a deposit Wednesday morning.

We have used hrblock for over 10 years and have got it early maybe twice. We have also seen them hold it for 3 to 5 days more times then I like to say. If you are lucky you will get it on the 10th if they pull their crap it could be 13th thru 15th. I will say this is the last year we will file with them. The last few years they have really went downhill and there is to much free software out now to keep paying their high fee’s.

Isn’t the 10th soon enough? Which it most likely will be tomorrow, my DDD is 2/10 on Emerald through HRB. I grateful cause others are still waiting!
