Has anyone that filed early with HR Block that claims EIC and CTC/ACTC been accepted yet? We filed on 1/26/21 and haven’t seen an update on WMR yet.

Ok so my tax return was accepted 2/8/21. I filed 2/7/21. My husband however went hrb filed his on 2/3/21 and we checked his myblock acct on 2/12/21. It said “tax is still working on your refund”. So we called hrb office he filed at and let them know what it said and inquired why it had not been . She kinda beat around the bush and then called us back and said it was sent. We checked his myblock acct and no lie 5-10 minutes later it changed to sent. Then the irs accepted it the very next day.

I received an email from HR Block today saying the IRS will not accept eitc/ctc until mid February. Ummmm it is mid February. I hope the block is not playing games as I watch so many others with accepted that utilized other processors.

@michelle thats awesome that you can already see your transcripts. I definitely suck at identifying what means what. I wish Ms. Sheila was in this forum, she knows cycle codes like the back of her hand

Mines says
We have received your tax return and it is being processed. If you filed a complete and accurate tax return, your refund should be issued within 21 days of the received date. However, processing may take longer under certain circumstances. Please check here or visit the Refunds page on IRS.gov, to check on your refund status.

@StimulateMeinAZ
That is crazy I dont understand why it just “submitted.” I got my acceptance email yesterday. I kinda assumed you would to. I am finding posts with ppl saying they got their transcripts posted already and will get theirs by the 1st of march meaning probably the 26th of this month depending on their bank. Im hopeful yours and mine and everyone else will too.

According to an email I received from H&R Block, any filers with EIC and/or ACTC; The IRS will not start issuing payments until Mid-Feb. Your federal refund should appear in your bank account by the first week of March.
You’ll be able to check your federal refund status at Where’s My Refund? beginning February 22.Pssst…. It’s mid February right now!

Well this morning I woke up to an email congratulations your return has been sent to the IRS -_- WHAT?! Here I am waiting for acceptance for 2 days and it hasn’t even been sent yet?! H&R dropped the ball here if I don’t get accepted today I’ll be really mad. I usually get accepted immediately after the return is sent …I got that email at 3 something in the AM and nothing yet..

@Monica many people got accepted into the test batch, but many didn’t. Many also got accepted on 2/12, but if you look on these threads, many didn’t yet. The IRS typically accepts returns within 48 hours of opening and the ones that were accepted prior to 2/12 were test batch. The IRS is probably just clogged due to late tax season start and people needing money due to pandemic. Try not to worry just yet.

Something seems off as for many years my taxes were accepted within 24 hours of the filing date. I still have not received even a confirmation number. It seems HR Block may be misleading people as to when their taxes are actually submitted to the irs. This is supported by the message not to check status until Feb 22. I have seen many that received a confirmation shortly after filing so that makes this even more curious

Yes mine was accepted today🙌🏽

February 12, 2021 at 9:53 pm #4452665
Filed on 1/30 with CTC and EIC around 6pm with HR Block. Also had filed my father’s on 1/30 no EIC or CTC around 2pm. He rec’d a message around 9 this morning he is accepted.
Nothing on mine. Honestly little nervous of things being screwed up this year. In past years always filed before acceptance date and got an IRS acceptance the morning they start to accept returns.

Filed 01/15
Rejected 02/08, re filed same day
Accepted 02/10
WMR 1 bar
TT 152No update on transcripts as of yet.
As-of date is 02/22WMR finally updated to one bar!!!
I read somewhere that they were not doing offsets for student loans. Anyone have a collaboration on that? We filed an injured spouse claim bc offsets were a go when we re-filed. Hopefully they process it w/out regarding the IS claim if they don’t do SL offsets.

February 12, 2021 at 3:23 pm #4452549Nez
@StimulateMeinAZ I understand and that is what I told the gentleman but he said that is what his supervisor said, and said I would get confirmation tonight after 5. I can only update u all on what was said to me after an hour wait and then another 45mins talking to him. I will let u know if I get an update after 5 like he said.
-
February 12, 2021 at 3:10 pm #4452543StimulateMeinAZ
@Nez I’m not sure about that unless it’s new this year …every past year we have filed and been accepted the same day usually within a few hours I’ve never had to wait 24-48 before. If we haven’t been accepted by Mon I’m calling our H&R lady and I’ll let you guys know what she says about it
-
February 12, 2021 at 2:45 pm #4452527
@StimulateMeinAZ I really have no idea. I think they pull batches multiple times a day. Nez had some good info
-
February 12, 2021 at 2:43 pm #4452526
@Nez that makes me feel so much better. Its amazing how a post back from someone is just as effective as a klonopin. Ty for taking the time to reply

February 12, 2021 at 1:55 pm #4452510StimulateMeinAZ
@Rockie same if there weren’t so many other ppl that hadn’t been accepted yet I would be worried something was wrong with our return. Does the IRS continue to accept these all day? Like is there still a chance we can get accepted later today?!
-
February 12, 2021 at 1:51 pm #4452508Nez
@Rockie I hear u on that, did mine the 27th and still nothing, and sitting on hold with HR Block now cause I never had to wait this long to get accepted.
-
February 12, 2021 at 1:44 pm #4452505
I filed on 1/31 and haven’t heard anything. Im getting pissed seeing ppl say they filed got rejected then refiled and already accepted.😡

February 12, 2021 at 12:15 pm #4452479
@michelle85 846 is refund issued. This site lists different codes so check your transcript against them to ensure the date means your DD
-
February 12, 2021 at 12:07 pm #4452477
@michelle85 it sounds like it’s good. I believe there is a specific code that means the refund was approved. I think it’s listed on the info pages on this website. Don’t quote me but I think it’s 841

Filed: 2/5/21 rejected on 2/10/21 (my own mistake though)
Re-Filed: 2/10/21, irs accepted return same day.
CTC and EIC
Previous years I wasn’t able to view transcripts until they were approved but I am able to view them today with a cycle code 20210605 and a date of March 1, 2021 next to refund amount… anyone have any idea if this is a good sign?? -
February 12, 2021 at 10:06 am #4452417StimulateMeinAZ
Well still nothing… when I check Where’s My Refund with our correct SSN, status and amount I get a message that I must have entered something incorrectly. Getting kind of worried now. Every year previous we have been accepted the same day we filed (we filed 1/15 this year)
-
February 12, 2021 at 9:42 am #4452405
@bowl what difference does it make if they claim eitc “AND CTC/ACTC” or just the eitc? It’s still subject to the Path Act.
-
February 12, 2021 at 8:42 am #4452397Baggins
Filed 1-15. Rejected 2-8. Refiled 2-8. Haven’t heard anything from h&r but where’smyrefund says it’s been accepted. Eitc and actc.

Hopeful777, sorry for the late reply.
The last 3 years, I have gotten my DD on 2/25/20, 2/26/19 & 2/23/18. I get my return sent to my netspend card. I dont know if it will be the same this year. Fingers crossed. -

@noelle yes you can post anything or anywhere, we are simply asking to make sure it’s in the correct topic lol
-
February 11, 2021 at 7:29 pm #4452308Noelle
Just an update, so I was accepted today and 1 bar on wmr, I have a small offset for state taxes, no big deal but it says its being taken from irs payment dated 02/26. Not sure if that really means anything or just a random date but maybe…….
-
February 11, 2021 at 6:14 pm #4452291Noelle
Lol it is a free country and I will post wherever I want to Thankyou. Unless this is your domain then you cannot say who can post……if the moderators ask me to stop posting then by all means I will.. Now with that being said, still nothing!!!

EIC & ACTCHrblock said I was accepted but the IRS site said it can’t find my return…
-
February 11, 2021 at 10:40 am #4452201bowl
@Kaylee Since I didn’t break out the classroom sized box of crayons for you to clearly comprehend the OP we can understand why you posted anyway.
Clearly I said for HR Block filers claiming EIC ANDDDDDDDDDDD THE CTC/ACTC NOTTTTTTT JUST CTC LIKE YOU STATED IS THE ONLY THING YOU CLAIMED but yet you decided to post any.
Simply, read the topic clearly and thoroughly before posting please.
-
February 11, 2021 at 10:26 am #4452192Niema
I filed 1/21, have EIC and ACTC and was sent an email from HR block this morning saying it was accepted. I was confused because I thought the IRS wasn’t accepting anything until tomorrow
-
February 10, 2021 at 11:21 pm #4452142Kaylee
Since OP wants to call me out, CTC doesn’t fall under PATH act just so y’all know. It’s the first year I’m not claiming EIC and ACTC but still have CTC.
-
February 10, 2021 at 11:17 pm #4452141Kaylee
@bowl In not the only one who doesn’t have ACTC or EIC but yet you only want to call me out?
-
February 10, 2021 at 8:04 pm #4452112bowl
@Kaylee this thread is for EIC and ACTC. Please stick to that.

I filed 01/25 online with hrblock. Filed married and jointly, with EIC. I was accepted today and that’s all I know so far. I hope I get it soon! I tried to look up my transcripts on irs.gov, but 2020s tax season isn’t on there. I received an emerald advance for Christmas, but not my refund.
-
February 10, 2021 at 2:49 pm #4452037LambFran
@Nez no, I didn’t do an advance.
