So here’s my story. I filed and was accept on 1/31 with H&R Block with 5 Kids and my wife MFJ, 1099NEC, ACTC, EITC.

I sat on N/A transcripts until today when I got a 570 code. I called a number MsTax listed sat on hold for 45 minutes and here’s what I found out and fixed.

One of my dependents listed on our taxes wasn’t on the irs system this year which she said was or had to be a systematic error. She said said theyare sending a CP12 paperwork to fix it but actually said I may be able to fix it over the phone. After an hour plus of her checking in on us and her filling out paperwork with her boss she got it all fixed. My kids were all on there again!

The bad news and kinda sucky part. She said my refund was reduced by $3.7k because H&R Block miscalculated the CTC on their end!

So here’s my advice. If the filed with an tax advocate or online with H&R Block and you claimed more than one dependent and your transcripts still say N/A or you have a 570 code or is similar to mine call the number MsTax posted and talk to some to make sure your dependent isn’t missing or anything else for that matter! The IRS lady said this is the 3rd one just like mine from H&R Block she’s done today alone.

Thanks for the info. My transcripts updated last from n/a to codes 570 and 971. Noticed refund is $750 lower. I’m thinking H&R Block missed up on our taxes too.

Oh and she said as for a deposit date it will be from in between now and mid March. They are still sending out the CP12 letter and not until March 1st. She said I will get my money before the letter.
