HR BLOCK ADMITS THEY SCREWED UP!

Just got off the phone with them they state that their system screwed up and a majority of filers from 1/27 will be kicked out and rejected and will have to re-file. No apology no offer to refund fees just a keep checking for your email confirming rejected. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Watch out! Their site is suddenly saying I amended my return and I didn’t! Why would I amend a return that was accepted! Now it says because my federal return was amended I have to mail my state return.I am so beyond angry!

Always check your states website it’s normally free to file.

Still hadn’t heard anything from HR Block. My federal return made it to IRS, but my state did not. So I went ahead and filed on the IL Mytax website and got confirmation number and time stamp. I even called IDOR, and they did indeed receive my submission. Horrible experience this year with the HR Block software. Now in process of trying to get refund of 19.95 state e filing fee

After being on hold for literally 2 hours I finally got told by tier 2 that there was some sort of power glitch that affected some people and they are having to slowly resend those affected thorough in batches to the IRS nothing can be done just have to sit and wait until it happens.

My friend finally got an “accepted” email from H&R Block regarding her IN state return e-filing on 1/22. IN state WMR also updated the message to “received and processing.”

Was seriously considering refiling in another program if H&R Block didn’t fix their program by Saturday.

I don’t like not know what’s going on.. IRS accepted my return..State still has no record of filing.. and on HR Block it is still saying I haven’t efiled my state or federal..

If the irs has your return you should be fine it’s just us poor people who’s efile is still pending with HR Block.

so to be clear if we filed on the 27th (which I did) with H&R even if the IRS says they have your return and it is being processed we are still screwed?

Oh no. I filed with HR Block. I couldn’t remember my AGI so I upgraded to the 29.99 one and they took out the advance fee too. It was 64.95 Total out of an already small refund. I only owe my state $1 according to HR Block. My return on WMR is at one bar. Does this mean I’ll be put under review and not get my refund?

I got accepted on the 27th I filed the 20th and my state taxes got accepted yesterday I’m path and I also didn’t get a refund last year cuz of an offset I don’t know when I get a ddd but I have been following this website since last year and you all make me feel like a tax professional so I’m hoping for a ddd of 2/25 before this path stuff I always got my dd by valentines days which is my 12 year wedding anniversary and my sons 8th birthday that would be love to get my cash but I’ll just remain hopeful

Helped my friend file her return using H&R Block. She filed on 1/22. Federal was accepted on 1/23, State return is still “pending” with no acceptance email from H&R Block as of today, 1/30.

Looks like H&R Block program has some glitches going on from reading in other areas of the forum. I think if it doesn’t update to “accepted by Saturday I will tell her to resubmit it using another program.

Worse that could happen is the new filing gets “accepted” right away and H&R Block’s filing gets “rejected” as a duplicate whenever they fix their software. She needs her money.

Definite HR Block screw up, both my federal and state still pending on HR’s end, but when I check federal WMR my return is received with one bar. IL has no record of my return. Representative admitted error on their end and that if my state rejected I would be able to resubmit. I printed my return just in case I have to mail it. And contacting BBB to get a refund of the 19.95 state filing fee. Pretty much waiting on a rejected email from HR Block

I was just told my HR BLOCK that my state is being looked at by them for possible corrections needed. Federal was already accepted. Couldn’t tell me how long this will take

The only reason I found out is because I asked to speak to a supervisor because they just kept giving me the run around.

Mine was in that batch and got accepted. State got accepted this morning. I am no less mad, but i filed a claim and asked for a refund. She said it wasn’t likely that I will be getting refund…..
