So I created my account in 2019 when I got audited for the 2018 tax season due to the job I had at the time not submitting the correct info. That year the only issue I had was my cell phone number not being able to be verified. Got past that hurdle by receiving verification code in the mail. Fast forward to this year. When I tried to access my account it made me reverify. I’m an ACTIVE college student WITH a legit credit card and a FINANCED vehicle. But the irs won’t accept neither account numbers when I’m 100% certain I’ve entered them correctly. Now I’ve pulled my credit report and when I look at my student loan account number it shows the first 5 numbers followed by 24 x’s. The other 5 should be the rest of my account number that I can see but I don’t have a clue what the other 19 are. Has anyone ever been able to get past this problem if you encountered it? If so how?
