I’ve gotten most of my merchandise that way. Im not ashamed at all to admit that I take advantage of people all the time that come into my pawn shop after splurging their tax refunds. Yeah ill give you 100 bucks for that brand new PS4 .Yeah ill give you 200 for that 75 inch TV just bring it on down and please remember the jewelry!!!!!! That’s my money maker right there I bet I make at-least 10K alone in profit over he course of a month from Jewelry, Firearms, and electronics that people buy that end up unable to keep.

I’m paying my two credit cards off
Getting caught up on past due bills (TV, and Cell phone)
Finally ordering internet for my house
I owe my mother in law money for a deposit on her house
I have to pay off repairs done to my car
I have to buy new snow tires, I live in the snow
I need to buy myself, my husband and kids new clothes
Then save what’s left for a cushion

One year I was able to stretch it 6-7 months.
Last year was only a month bc I put a large payment on my car

Not everyone scams or uses the money for unimportant things. Get your head out of your ass.

I personally have no issue with pawn shops, yes when I used I sold all my shit to um but that was my choice. There are times where guy woild loan me like 40$ on something that he would make any money on to help me pay a bill or something, my posts weren’t ment to critize you. TBH pawn shops here are a better option then the pay day loan companies that fuck u side ways. Once a pawns a TV 39in I got it back screen was dmgwd guy replaced it with a 60inHD the NO questions he didn’t have to do that so I respect what I guys do. There is also nothing wrong with a guy or girl putting there family first.

We run the serial numbers on ALL items that come through the store and report to law enforcement database regularly. If the items are flagged as stolen then we simply do not buy the item and the individual attempting to sell or attain a loan on the item will automatically be forwarded to the authorities. In most cases stolen items will be recovered. We also do high interest title loans on automobiles,boats,and RV’s and we list online locally. Believe it or not i do not deal in so called “junk”. I will not provide a loan on a Television older than 2 years or under 32 inches. All Sports memorabilia, Collectors items, Jewelry, and Guns are subject to the current market value but there is a lot more flexibility with electronics. We do deal with a lot of addicts, in fact, I suspect half of my clientele walk out the door with money to buy drugs but that is not my business. I have had plenty of mothers and fathers bring in what is suspect to be their children’s items to get their quick fix. I provide a genuine service. I am not a charity nor do I claim to be in the business to help anyone but myself at-least Im honest about it. We provide high risk, high interest loans 90% of which are never picked up. 🍻 Cheers to a very profitable tax season!!!!! It happens every year so this year will be no different. Maybe small town pawn shops are dying out but mine is thriving and will continue to thrive for years to come.

I used to hit pawn shops up for quality low priced side arms and guitars but these days pawn shops only sell junk and I can get new merchandise for less the price of pawned stolen crappy merchandise by going online.Hence pawn shops are a dying breed and disappearing from our daily lives. Our tax return is OUR money. It is an interest free loan we give the government. Now, you say you know something. Ok. Try this on for size…

If you borrow from any place, even your so called “pawn shop”, there is an interest. Pay day advance, interest as well. If those loans arent paid on time, don’t you get phone calls? Letters? Things of that nature? Yes. I’m sure of it. You say we can’t afford these lavish things…but we can. It’s not a gift from the government. This is our money. We worked for it. And just like the payday advance people, the pawn shops, I’m going to ask where my damn money is. I don’t owe it to them to be patient after the 15th. I’ll wait on tomorrow for things to move. But by Tuesday, there better be a whole lot of action.

All pawn shops are crooked. They will only offer you 1/3 of the average price that the item has sold for on ebay unless you have gold or silver. Plus everybody knows that 90% of the people are in there selling stolen merchandise that you dont have a receipt for to most likely support a drug habbit.

Last time I checked when a customer buys merchandise from a REAL store they have 30 days to return it for a full refund. Who in the world would go to a roach infested pawn shop, then pawn their merchandise for as u say $100, make payments on it, just to get in back later with a family of roaches living in it. What’s $100??? That money will be gone before u make it back home (gas, groceries, etc.). I’d rather stay broke the rest of the month before I go to a pawn shop, or better yet if I’m really desperate for ‘gas money’s I’ll sell my plasma lol!
