I updated my DD information on the IRS portal 3 days ago and they still have not updated when my payment will be arriving? How soon did it work or everyone else? Or who is going through the same thing?

I updated my DD 2weeks ago and got a update Saturday for 5/20 I was upset at first because it said it’ll be updated the following Saturday I was thinking since I submitted it on a Monday it would up that Saturday but after reading the FAQs a billion times it verified it would update the following week

I’m finally updated with a date of 5/20! I updated my DD info on 4/16 and I checked it this morning and no update. I saw a few people on a Facebook group I’m in say that they finally got dates later in the afternoon today so I checked again around 4:58 and it was updated!

@Ashley- interesting question! I have been wondering something about that, as well, because my tax refund for this year is being held. I owed $300 from 2017. Long story, but anyhow I paid the money I owed with interest and penalties in March, but somehow when everything shut down my check was cashed, but my account hasn’t updated. I think you’re on to something. Sadly, who knows how long it will take to get this sorted out. :(

I submitted by 9 am on the 15th and as of just now, the portal still hasn’t updated for me. So stressful. I think the only silver lining is that *if* I get the deposit on Thursday, that’s also my regular payday so I don’t have to pick and choose which bills to pay- I can pay them all. I’m still blown away people are saying their payment is “late” my God it’s free money and clearly very few people have a direct deposit date. So how is it late? From what I’ve seen a lot of people will blow their stimulus checks on lottery tickets and 70 inch TVs they’ll try to return 3 weeks from now. I’m also wondering why the “as of” date on transcripts have changed. I was curious so I checked 2 weeks ago: no change.
Today: From 3/16 to 5/11.
My tax refund was DD’d 2/24 (exactly 3 weeks before as of date), so maybe that may be their “due/send by” date? If there’s a link, it makes better sense for the paper check sched. Mail on 11th, received by 15th. I’m aware i sound pessimistic, I am hoping for a DD, but it think I’m doomed to a paper check w a May15th date.

I used non filer form on the 8th for stimulus payment I went to turbo tax thing and it said no info available or something like that and yesterday after midnight it changes to I qualify ect… with last 4# of account . An few things I’ve read said if ur info is updated any week at least by a Thursday then you should get a day the following week but that doesn’t mean that will happen

I am the same as most. I owed taxes 2018 and 2019 so needed to manually enter my DD info. Did this on the day the IRS site opened up. I am out of unemployment benefits and they deducted my 2019 taxes on 4/15.
As others pointed my account still says “when a date is available” and keep checking daily since my rent is due.

Banks take awhile to process sometimes. So if your dd day was yesterday, it’ll prlly be in the there 2mrow. It will come before you know it. So just live until then & be as happy as you can.

Unemployment is really behind due to everyone applying. I have read that a lot of people that have dates are still not seeing their money deposited yet and that may have to do with understaffing issues. I’m reading that the folks who got their $ deposited this week got the IRS portal update on Saturday. So, on Sat 4/18, people got the portal updated to say their checks would be deposited on 4/22. If that’s true, the portal is truly only updating once per week on Saturdays for checks being deposited and set to hit banks Wednesday. At least there seems to be an end in sight for this black hole we’re all sitting in, but Wednesday is a lifetime away for some of us.

Sounds like we should’ve re-entered the card info from out tax service providers. Since that’s the info the ORS already had then we weoukdve gotten a paper check. I switched the direct deposit info to my regular bank and now it seems like we’ve been rerouted to the bottom of the stack unless 7 days or 1 week won’t be effective technically until the 23rd. I updated my DD info on April, 15th around 9:30 am…. I still do not have a deposit date. However, I know the deposits aren’t made until a little later in the morning .. The pattern seems to be all people that had their DD sent to their tax prep.. Then they updated on wheres my payment with their current bank info. This confuses the system/irs and they feel it is safer to mail you a check on the “24th” message you are seeing.While the rest of us that put our info in and use traditional banks are still seeing a screen that says accepted but waiting for DD date.

Of course to add insult to injury, I have Bank of America, and they never show deposits, with them it’s always a guessing game. So who knows.
