How does TT get info for when to start 5 day early deposit?

As the title says, How does TT get the information that your refund will be deposited in 5 days so they can start the 5 day early deposit?

Isn’t that info only available via transcripts? Or does it rely on the very VERY (for some people) unreliable WMR bars?

I’ve always been in the weekly cycle and most times have received the deposit before WMR catches up…..

WMR is useless and has never been effective. I would have my refund and it would still be sitting a accepted haha. Just check your transcript.

I’m hoping for a DDD soon but I don’t think I’ll get one because I’m weekly. I’m guessing my date will be 2/26 but since I only update once a week, I think I’ll get the date on 2/21 and it’ll be too late to get the 5 days early—unless TT sends it the same date I get a transcript update. Idk, I’m disappointed. I was really hoping for a 2/21 or 2/22 refund this year but I am pretty sure I’ll be waiting until mid next week to see any money.

They know when you get the 846 code and the IRS sends the direct deposit information.
