i just spoke with an irs rep and they said that for the ppl whos refund with eic or atic that they wont be released until the 27th. she said the returns havent been even procced until the 15th. i spoke with a representative last week and she told me that if i received the path act message my returns were done. so can somebody figure this out and let me know what they’ve herd

This is coming up in all the threads. The reps are going to say what they have to, to get you off the phone. The 27th is their “cushion date”. Due to Presidents day in Monday and then the time your bank may take to process it. Most people’s returns were processed but not the refund portion, which had to be held due to the PATH act. Wait until the 18th and see if WMR tells you something different.

i didnt have anything that said i have audits or id verify or anything. i have had the path act message since 2/4. so pretty much im just waiting on a ddd right?

The real thing is that the RETURN has been processed and it has been sitting in a holding pattern until yesterday. As of yesterday they are now taking all of the processed returns and processing them for REFUNDS by issuing the 846 codes.

Once your REFUND is processed, it will then be sent out a few days later. Some people MAY see their money tomorrow 2/17, but most will probably have a DDD of 2/22-2/25. Your DDD is going to depend on when you filed and how fast they are processing. So, a lot of people will have their money this week or next and almost everybody should have a DDD by 2/27.

The actual RETURN is processed, which is why ID Verify, Audits, etc. have been sent out to people with the PATH message. We are now just waiting on the REFUND.

@Josh for what you typed cant you figure out they just speak and say whatever…this is the highest call volume of the year and they are going to say anything to worry you and get you off the phone…call when instructed not before
