…And no information available on the Stimulus Payment. How do I know if they even have me listed as someone who is supposed to get a Stimulus Payment? Any ideas?

I have a similar situation. But the IRS did happen to mail me a check last year for a 2017 Return that they finally finished and gave me a refund for.
This means they have my address. Knowing this, why can’t a Stimulus Check be mailed if they are still processing my 2019 Return? I also DID NOT file in 2018.
I’m a lower income earner that should have been one of the first paper checks mailed out if they truly were going by income amounts in the order mailed.

Hi Thicks. Thanks for the information. I believe you are correct on this and I’m not expecting my tax refund anytime soon. I am concerned about my Stimulus money though. Seeing that they are using 2018 and/or 2019 information and I didn’t file in 2018, what’s the expectation? I would hope that when they received my 2019 return that it was scanned into a computer system and the address info for me is there for them. Thanks again.

Okay, Harold. Given that information, because the timeline for processing paper returns is longer than those who e-filed even under normal circumstances, I have to guess you’re in for an extended wait, because the IRS didn’t do ANY processing of mailed returns during the shutdown caused by the health crisis.

Hi. I filed in early February by mail. Was not able to file online as I didn’t have the PIN number I apparently was sent but never received. WMR says Still Processing. I haven’t received any mail from the IRS. On my 1040 that I mailed to them, my Direct Deposit info is listed. Thanks.

When and how did you file and when was your return accepted? Who was your tax preparer? What does your WMR say? Did you have any circumstances that might trigger a need to verify your identity?
