We filed over 2 months ago and sent in our 1095 and 8962 almost 6 weeks ago. Yet there is no movement and transcripts still say NA. My question is, do you think filing an amended return will help push it through? My husband got laid off so we really need that money.

We sent an amended return in before all of the virus stuff got bad. It shows recieved March 6th and that’s it nothing has changed. TA told me some places are shut down and they’re not sure when they will open back up or if they’re able to work from home.

I was told if you amend it would take longer. Up to 6 weeks with a TA or 16 weeks without a ta.i was told to amend as well but I didnt because i did not see a error when me and my tax person went over it.

The IRS is working remotely. I was sent a 60 day notice and was advised by a tax advocate to amend my taxes which I did over a month with no updates. Before the Corona Pandemic was told by a tax advocate amending is quicker if they are errors on your return because they can keep extending the 60 days up to four months :(, but now with everything going on… the IRS is working at snail pace as it relate to these issues

I’m under the impression that if you amend, it could delay your processing even further.

any hoot TT told me to wait till my return was processed before amending,,not sure but it might not even be possible if you guys are already in ‘processing” mode
