      @amraann

      I submitted my return on 2/3 via rapidtax.com

      It was rejected twice. According to rapidtax it was a software submission issue and nothing for me to fix.
      Finally on the 8th it was showwn as transmitted again…. and there is stays 72 hours later.
      The IRS has no record of my refund.

      I am not affected by the PATH Act.

      Does anyone have any idea of what this could mean or has this happened to anyone else?
      Shouldn’t I at least have a recieved message by now?

          Thanks Carrie and Sherry!

          I sent them a final message yesterday telling them that they needed to stop bl;owing smoke, that the problem is clearly with them and I expect it to be fixed immediately and a refund of my fees.

          Magically this morning it shows that my taxes have been accepted! Even on WMR.

          Thank you for your suggestions :)

            @Amra, oh wow. That’s terrible. I hope you can recover those funds and that you get your return filed & accepted ASAP with a nice, fast turn-around time on your refund. Good luck and keep us posted! :)

              @Amra…. happened to me before and I was back n forth with the tax office and the IRS…final word from irs…not submitted. Went back to tax office and wanted my money back as well as my paperwork. I went somewhere else and it went through with a totally different amount. They had ballooned the amount. I took all to A local office n irs didn’t fault me n didn’t keep refund from me. Hope all works out….plz go somewhere else

                  @Amra, you’re welcome. I’m sorry you are dealing with this. Since you are sure your return is 100% accurate, I am even more certain it is the tax service, as your friend also stated. I hope you didn’t pay a fee. If so, it should be refunded. I have never had a problem with Tax Act’s online service, for what it’s worth. You might give them a try.

                    Oh and PS to Carrie.. Everything was correct. I triple checked. I was able to download a copy of my forms from rapidtax.

                      Thanks Carrie!!

                      I have a friend who has been doing taxes for like 30 years and he said it was the tax service as well.

                      I did not have him do them because he lives far away and is very biusy.

                      IRS insider although I appreciate your post it does not address my question. Also I think your answer only addrsses those affected by the PATH Act. (which I am not)
                      Neither was my 20 yo who already got his taxes back last week and it was not an anticipation loan.

                        PS: be sure everything is 100% correct with the new submission. One little number off can cause a rejection.

                          @Amra, it means your tax prep service screwed up, regardless of the song and dance they are giving you. My advice is to file with another service. If the original return somehow goes through after your new one is accepted, the original one will be rejected. You might want to call the IRS to confirm this info. Good luck!

                            The refunds will be released in three batches, 1st on the 13th, 2nd on the 20th, and last on the 27th. Cycle codes 04 = 13th, 05= 20th, and 06 = 27th. As Tom said, it depends on your financial institution after that date when you actually get your money in your account.

                              @Tom

                              Rapid tax today is still showing a status of “transmitting” and their reply to me is still that it is the IRS with the problem.
                              THe IRS still has no record of my refund.

                              Any idea what this means?
