      I was wondering if the healthcare penalty would have mentioned on the offset line or do they just take it and explain later?

          mine was offset, taxact told me last year I may be offset, then I was by irs, there was an offset code on transcripts of the exact amount I had calculated they would take. it was like 350 or 395 or something but it will be double this year. it was 120 per adult and half that per kid I think last year.

            I had it last year and got my refund in 10 days, its not truly a offset, they let u know when filing your taxes and it’s just subtracted.

              Yep you would have seen it when doing taxes. Mine was 81 bucks because I went 3 months without health care till open enrollment at work

                It’s not a true “offset,” it’s just automatically calculated when determining your refund or payment amount for your taxes.
