I just received the very same letter. Its purely for your records so u can know exactly how much stimmy money u received . its letter 6475.OR your advance child tax credit letter telling u how much u received. That will be letter 6419. . This site explains. KEEP THESE LETTERS. They are important in case there is any issue.

I didn’t report mine either so not sure how that works
at worst it will be a small delay. I wouldn’t worry much.

when u get the letter, check the return if you already filed. Make sure the amounts match. I’m fairly sure you have nothing to stress about as long as you know. Update us when u get the letter.

Letter 6475 and 6419. These are vital records. KEEP THEM if u receive 1 or both. Make sure the amounts in the letters match what you filed. If that is wrong, it will delay your refund. We received them before we filed and we double checked. Everything did match. The home page n this site explains it better.

I got a letter stating I signed up for ID.me and to contact them if it wasn’t me who did it.

Ummm. Next question obviously I didn’t report it because if that is it I didn’t even know I got interest. Will they correct that because I already filed?

Thank you all of you. Sitting here flipping out. I filed and accepted 1/30 still can’t see transcripts. Super simple return h&r lady said she didn’t see reason for me to buy protection. Which I was shocked she said that because they normally try sell that stuff.

Yes it should be on your 2020 transcript if they paid you interest when they release your refund last year

Normally I would say your current year transcripts would show the code 971 (notice issued) if it was something else but I saw a post yesterday of a woman who got the 60 day review notice and she said her transcripts are still N/A so who knows anymore 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
If you haven’t received the interest notice already I’m betting it’s that.

It’s probably just the letter reporting how much they paid you in interest on your refund from last year for making you wait. The interest is taxable so you’re supposed to use form 1099-INT to report it on your return

Would I have transcripts showing letter sent if it was regarding taxes I just filed?
