    MadMax!!!

So I had my taxes done with H&R Block 02/02/2017.
Paid way to much to have them done, to get them done right and not make any mistakes.

      OH Well that failed.

When I was there the tax professional failed to apply my grandson(I caught the mistake and told her) to my return. Made a 3000 plus difference in my return.

I asked for all fees to be taken out of my Federal refund. Today I wake up to find my State refund was taken as well to cover the fees(over 400). I called and spoke with the lady and she said she made a mistake and she was sorry.

I asked her about the remainder of the fees and she says they will come out of my federal return and that there is no way to change it now but she will be happy to give me a $20 credit for next years return!

Are you insane? I will never use them again. I cannot order Transcripts with any address and No update on WMR as to them receiving my return at all. She said she will get back with me and try and see what is going on. Wonderful I cannot wait.

I feel so stupid for using them. I have always done my taxes online but decided that this year I would try and get an advance(which didn’t happen because they ran a credit check and mine sucks) and maybe avoid all the ID verify mess I had last year as well.

      Lesson learned never again.

      My rant thanks for listening.

any tax prep firm that you use will take their fees out of whichever return comes first, if you are paying the fees out of the refund. There is no way for them to change that. The banks that they use are the ones that do it and SSBT and BOA both do it. They do not want to be left holding the bag of 1 or the other is offset. The preparer has no way of changing that and they should have been knowledgeable enough to know that!!

I see you stated you had to be ID verified. What all information did they request?
