I called the IRS, they told me to expect a letter in the mail. Well I’ve moved and they won’t forward it to the new address. So I called back and they setup an appointment with my IRS office, which is 20 minutes from my house. No one in the 3 people I’ve talked to over the last several days was willing to give me a code or letter number. All stated I needed to do ID verification. The last lady made it very clear they were checking for any kind of fraud. I guess my question is…. Has anyone been told they would receive letter, and then end up with DDD without having to do anything, or before receiving the letter? I filed 1/31, accepted same day. The only thing that has changed since last year is that I had a baby, and I am claiming him. I have never claimed a child before, and I am not filing head of household. So again my question, has anyone had this happen before, and then before you could verify, everything went thru and you had a DDD?
