Had to verify ID

Ok guys, I’m tripping a little and this is kind of a long story so bear with me please.
I last filed a tax return in 2014. I returned to work last year when my daughter was able to start school. So I filed my return on 1/13 and got accepted 1/16. I know because I claimed the EITC nothing would get done till at least February 15 but I still check everyday lol. For the first couple days it showed the first bar and said it was received and being processed but then for a week it was saying I was everting my info incorrectly when clearly I wasn’t, so of course I called even though it hadn’t been the 21 days. I called on 1/30. The lady I spoke with said they needed to verify my identity but the last known address they had for me was when I filed 5 years ago and I was living in a different state. That’s where they sent the letter. (Good thing I called). So on 1/31 I went in to my local office and verified. The lady said everything looked good and she’d put it through to process, and that it could take 9 weeks. I’ve been reading horrible stories on other forums that people had to wait wayyyy longer than 9 weeks. I checked wmr yesterday and now it’s showing the path act message sooooo I’m hoping maybe that’s good news, that it’s being processed faster. Anyone got any insight on this? Or at least can you send me some good juju? Thanks guys!

So I was able to get my transcript and at the top it shows my refund amount and says “as of February 25”
What does that mean?

One year the irs adjusted my refund amount due to a mistake my accountant made so when i went to check on wheres my refund it said my info wad wrong. I kept trying and it triggered the id verify thing so be careful people although its easy to do its a pain in the but to have to go through it.

I’ve read about a lot of people ordering transcripts to find out info. How does it work and how does it tell you if you’ve been approved or not?

If your status changed to the path message, your return is being processed… If you can access your transcripts online you can get a better picture of whats going on with your return.
