I have a greendot card and I received my refund on the date of the deposit from wmr. My partner also has a greendot card and we are waiting for the 2/22 deposit.

Everything always deposits early on our cards but federal doesn’t. I wanted to see if anyone has a different experience between now and the 22nd.

No fees.
Have not received anything yet but in the past, I have gotten my refund between 10 am and 3 pm on my greendot. Fingers crossed we get our refunds today.

I filed with TT and have it going on their prepaid card. I did the free file. Is there a way I can check to see if I might get it on the card today? I don’t show any pending when I check the app.

Filed w tt.. checked sbtg and they received it and took fees out. Just waiting for it to hit my bank…

Nothing yet. I don’t expect to see it tonight or early tomorrow. Last year I filed the same with TT and had fees paid with return. I got my deposit around 9pm EST 2/21 last year.

DDD of 2/22 I have green Dot and have yet to see any money!.. I use my green dot for my payroll and always get it the day before use to be two days before.

I use hrblock free file every year and my own greendot card that I use for everything. No fees or waiting for a card.

Hoping they might post it early this year. Guess all we can do is support each other until we start getting deposits.

I have turbocard with no fees and nothing, dont expect anything really until hopefully wednesday! And i feel like they will accept the irs refund b/c its thru Turbo tax and alot of people have high refunds….doesnt make sense for them to sign us up for it if they wont even take it… I WILL go back to netspend next year though!

@april, i know how it feels, in 2014 i got ID verify, took them til september that year to send the money and id have never known if i hadnt had text alerts for that card…took hours to even find the card lol

@me2 no i dont think so, i read somewhere that if the deposit is rejected by the bank due to that issue then you will end up getting a paper check mailed

oh you didn’t have fees taken out, so that is why you got yours earlier than the rest of us. Dang it, if I could have paid fees at the time that would have been nice. I normally am biting fingernails off waiting for it to post, this year I was much calmer about it. However, its getting down to the wire and I forgot our car insurance was running out. I just want our money lol, I hate waiting around when I know its the last day or so.

What if the refund is more than the daily deposit amount? Do they overlook it bc it’s IRS deposit?

I have gree dont, my pay check usually comes on at 5pm or 3am 2 days before deposit days, first time getting tax on it tho, I also used TT, fee out of taxes so they will goto sbptg first. It says at bottom of sbptg Web page that their a green dot company, dunno if that matters or not

I feel kinda stupid because we have Netspend that we use for other things, but decided to go with the Green Dot card because I am always afraid I will input the number in wrong or something and screw it up and delay the deposit process. I also have a Bluebird card also, got one from signing up for something on a survey site so I could get points for a gift card? I think? Anyways, if I had known Bluebird folks were going to get theirs super early I would have socked it onto that instead.
I won’t use the Turbo card next year. I like the Netspend Black Premier card OR the Western Union Premier card is good too. I used to use that one for my paycheck and they would allow you to Overdraw like 80 bucks as long as you paid it back. Since my paycheck was going on there every other week, sometimes we had to do it.
We are Green Dot Turbo this year, haven’t gotten anything yet. I will post an update when we get ours. We had to reschedule my husbands cardiologist appointment this morning because our car insurance has ran out and I ain’t taking the chance on getting pulled over with no car insurance. Nope, not doing it. Too risky especially now since if they pull you over with no insurance you get a fine or lose the car depending on how nice the office is in our state.

I am a greendot user DDD 22nd. No fees and have not received. Sister is netspend same DDD no fees and she has not received either. I opted out of using netspend this year because they charge me 1 dollar for every purchase. Hoping to see something tomorrow. Good luck everyone.

To those asking what Tim deposits post to greendot. I have noticed they post dd’s twice daily. Times for me are central standard time.

Has anyone ever cancelled a direct deposit with the IRS the same week there deposit is supposed to go through? My Walmart card was blocked because someone stole my info and used it in another state. Now I have to wait for new card, and then send in paperwork showing driver’s license which can be a few more days

I’m frustrated af. Because net spend users got their deposit on SATURDAY. And I got green dot thinking they release 7/10 days earlier than The DDD. Boy do I fee tricked lol. I’m just in need of a new vehicle ASAP. So I’m antsy. I got a ddd on the 22nd. But really hoping I get it tonight. As I have always gotten it two days early at midnight. Fingers crossed. @Sammie I don’t know about SBTPG and greendot being one and the same. I didn’t pay fees this year, used the free file of TT and I know that if I want to withdraw money from my account (I actually use the greendot instead of a regular checking account) I can go to a US Bank atm to withdraw and not incur any fees.

I’m not going to bother with the newest pre-paid card out there next year and just stick with what I have. Knowing my luck, I’ll switch everything over to netspend or something, right around tax time next year a story will pop up that they had to investigate numerous counts of fraud and no longer offer the deposit on a pre-note and there will be another prepaid circulating around that offers the deposit early but of course I won’t have that one.

It blows seeing everyone getting theirs early, but hey. Just last week we were going nuts about being stuck on the PATH and would have been happy with just a DDD. That much closer! And all of these people getting it early will be broke again by the time we get ours, and will wish they had waited.

It just sucks that our economy is in such a sh*tter that everyone goes crazy (myself included) waiting for our tax return to see any kind of relief from the bills. I know that’s where mine’s going, to bills and stocking up the fridge!

Green Dot is a mystery. I have a Walmart MoneyCard, one of the older premium cards. I get everything early on it sometimes my paycheck shows up on Tuesday a couple times a year. Last year I got my deposit a day early but what goes on BlueBird came 3 days early. Last year I wonder if it was early because I kept calling telling them I know it has arrived since I split it and got the rest already. My date is the 22nd but plan on calling Tuesday and pestering them if it is not there yet.

It’s weird. Other prepaid cards like bluebird and serve got theirs Friday and Saturday. Not sure why greendot hasn’t. But hopefully people will post here that they got it early so the rest of us will know.

I use the go bank from Walmart… I have ddd of 2/22 as well. Last year I remember I received it like 2 days early. This year for my state..I called a 1800 number and lady told me ddd for it was the 20th and I ended up getting the 15th. Don’t know if it’s the same for federal.

Green dot Bank cards are Walmart money cards correct? I also have a ddd of 2/22. I think I’ll get it on that day. It was the same way last year. Always can hope it arrives sooner

I have Green dot as well. I use it for everything including payroll. I honestly think the early deposit depends on what the depositor sends out. One job pays the day before, another pays right on the payday.

Last year used the same card, checked my transcripts saw 846 for 2/23. If I remember correctly it was deposited on my card the 21st but didn’t officially post until the 22nd.

Hoping for the same this year. Had hoped for this weekend but hey. Tuesday is a payday no matter what.
