Filed on 1/23. About 3 days later our WMR bars disappeared and gave us codes 152+9001. The online system stated it couldn’t give us any information about our tax return. We ended up getting an ID verify letter 2 days ago which only asked us for last years adjusted gross income and the last 4 digits of of our checking account number used for direct deposit. That was LITERALLY all they asked for. Its been 2 days now and still nothing. Our processing date WAS 2/18 but it was bumped up to 3/4. This tax season is pure bullshit. Our transcripts are still empty. No movement even after id verify.

Hey there! I also filed at the end of January and got a verification letter on 3/20, verified on 3/28 and my status changed this past Friday the 5th and I have a DDD of 4/10. So it took about a week for me after verifying. Also, right before I got a DDD, my status changed from “still being processed” to “received and is processing”. Hope you get yours soon!!

I received a identity verification and completed mines on March 11 and its been 4 wks and still showing code 152 saying it cant provide any information on my status. I called Irs and they said they cant see anything yet but it takes up to 9wks. When i got my my confirmation of verification online, it stated i could check WMR in 2-3 wks and I did and thats what lead up to me calling the IRS. Should I be concerned or am I good?

Did any of you have a code 971 on your transcript? I’m wondering if that’s what mine was. WMR went from code 9001 one back to normal, with topic 152 and bars showing but it’s at “processing” and hasn’t moved.

I worked for the Internal Revenue Service. If you had to go through ID verify, it can take up to six weeks depending if the representative used the tool to add the correct reversal code or manual. If you are a daily, it should not take more than two days. Accounts are all on a cycle. I had specializations on the refund hotline, itin merges, 1040x, balance due, premium tax credit, and ID verify.

It can take up to 45 days but shouldn’t. You should be in the next process batch

I had to verify identity recieved letter on the 20th verified no WMR showing nothing checked this morning and i have a DDD for feb 27th

Apparently we weren’t included in this so called “huge update”. Still 152-9001 after verification 3 days ago. We verified online. If we don’t have our taxes by the 2nd week of march, I’m going to get a tax advocate. We have never in our life had to go through this kind of BS just to get our tax return
