Topic 152 is still showing & amount still shows. Bar disappeared & now says “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.”
I claimed both credits, H&R Block, filed early Jan. Accepted feb 12th. Cant access transcripts.

30 Days into my 60 Day 2645c do nothing letter- filed and accepted 2/13 WMR shows no movement only “Still Processing a Refund Date will become available.” Spoke with a IRS agent the Thursday before the Memorial Day weekend and she said there was nothing that could be done but for me to wait, Hopefully it will be sooner than September. a total crock of Stimpy SMH

Filed 2/15, accepted soon after, received 4464-c letter dated 2/28, WMR still says being processed but transcript says as of 4/26/21. Anybody having similar lack of movement? I did have to claim rebate recovery for 1st and 2nd stimulus. I got 3rd because my 2019 taxes finally came in March this year
-

I tried to check status today and WMR tells me it doesn’t have information and the irs2go app tells me that my info doesn’t match.
I’m putting in my social, filing status and refund amount the same as I always have. Does that mean it was finally reviewed?

Accepted 2/17 still processing on WMR, No DDD
Called today, I have to wait till the end of May due to a letter I received letting me know about topic 152 on WMR.
So if what I was told is true… Then whenever you received that letter or noticed the topic 152 on WMR that is when your 60 days start for the review process SMFH
If anyone has any info or has a accepted date around my date and received your refund please let me know -
April 21, 2021 at 9:07 am #4484884SD
10 weeks is accurate from the date your return accepted. My WMR updated today with DDD April 23 and exactly 10 week, accepted february 13.

Wow, after reading all this I don’t feel as bad. I filed 2/26 and was accepted I never saw a bar until 3/26 saying it was accepted then last week I get the message of Still Being Processed. A refund date will be provided once available”. it’s almost 2 months way longer than the 6 weeks of mailing them in.

I filed on 2/12. Can’t remember when my bars left. Got the tax topic thing and it disappeared for about a week. Woke up Saturday 4/3 and got my DDD! My original return was for only 3075. Online they showed they adjusted it 3675. Wednesday 4/7 I got the 3675 and the 1400 stimulus! So I guess it’s worth the wait? Hope this gives some hope for you guys

So I called along with my tax preparer, customer service doesn’t know shit .the lady sounded like she was in bed .Basically i filed 2/ 14 following week lost bars. I called in March was told basically my taxes are at stand still and haven’t been touched call back later. Fast forward today the lady added on another 10weeks to call back this is ridiculous. They have absolutely no answers and are reading from the paper whatever we ask them .

On march 1st my bars disappeared and i got the message your tax return is still being processed etc…
Still same message with N/A on transcripts..
I was owed $1400 from 3rd stimulus due to child being born in 2020… But heres the catch… I did NOT claim it on my tax return… But I just received the $1400 this morning!!!! Still no tax refund though.. Does this mean Im closer to getting my refund since theyve obviously went through it????

Ok, so I forgot about my 2019 federal refund of $56 – which I applied to 2020 taxes when I filed last year. I’m guessing they had to make that correction, which might be the reason for the delay?
-
April 2, 2021 at 5:40 pm #4480602
@StacyC I’m the same. Accepted 2/13. still processing, transcript still hasn’t updated, called and spoke to someone and was told that it’s still basically just waiting to be processed..I should wait until 4/30 for my refund.

March 30, 2021 at 3:45 pm #4478822monica
Hey everyone! I just wanted to shed some light on this tax topic 152 msg. I was finally able to speak with an agt at the IRS after calling all day getting the run around. Due to an error made by my tax prep my return was sent for review in another department in which they finally corrected after almost a month and a half of accepting my return. Although it has been updated on 3/23 she says it could take up to 6 wks to rcv my return. Hope this helps!
-
March 30, 2021 at 3:05 pm #4478801TBW
Filed with TT on 3/11, accepted 3/11. WMR showed progress bar and said return is being processed. 3/30, no progress bar, shows “tax return still being processed, date provided when available. Please read Tax Topic 152” Info on left still there including refund amount.
Crazy year for taxes: Covid, changed jobs, got married, bought house, withdrew 401k, NO kids, NO EITC.
Fingers crossed -

@Jlew are you dumb? I was only letting out my frustrations with the irs on my last post, I didn’t actually curse out the rep. Also, if you don’t like what I post, don’t read it. Don’t @ me again unless you know where my money is. *eye-roll

I also received this msg today 3/28, “your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.” Amount still showing on the side and no TT 152.
I filed 3/9. Accepted 3/10. From 3/10 to 3/27 I had my bars with msg “we received your tax return and it is being processed.” and reflected TT 152 at the bottom.
It’s hard to believe this many of us have errors. Also it would be helpful if ppl could provide their updates if they finally received their DDD. -

I had gotten mine a few days ago without any other update since my last. Just kind of want to let anyone out their know that if your stimulus check was being sent to a wrong account that it may be corrected without needing to receive anything in the mail. Mine said it was sending to an old account and changed today c:

@bgmx bitching on this forum is not going to get your money any faster and even calling them and cursing them out is not either. That agent on that line has zero control of that money. Show some respect.

Filed with HRB. Accepted 2/12. Filed for EITC, received unemployment, got all 3 stimulus. Still no state and federal refund. Still getting the TT152, still no transcript.
The weird part is- when I got my 3rd stimulus- it went to the new emerald card that was issued to me by HRB when I filed my 2020. My first 2 stimulus checks went to the bank account that I used for 2019. So I know they have my tax return. Nerve wrecking! -

March 26, 2021 at 11:32 am #4477462Landon1012
My transcripts finally updated!! I should have mine DDD on the 31st. FINALLY!! does anyone know if I would qualify for the 3rd stimulus payment for a child? They went off my 2019 when the child wasn’t claimed so I only recieved 1 stimulus payment. Could I claim that on next years taxes if not?
TIA! -

Called tax advocate No bars tt 152 no refund amount , available date will be given when available . they see no error codes but saying that does not mean there is no error. I got accepted 2/12 now being told 8 weeks from 3/18 to either get a letter or my refund
-
March 25, 2021 at 2:30 am #4476936Plulululiu
I efile the return on 2/14. The bar came back and shows it is approved and the deposit will be sent by 3/26.

March 23, 2021 at 8:06 am #4476257
Accepted 2/11/21 filed with TT. My return is “Still Being Processed. A refund date will be provided once available”.
Sent 911 form to TA on 3/8 and to-date no answer.
Called the IRS several times and each time given the run-a-round.
No stimulus due to N/A on transcripts. This is totally ridiculous.
Contacted Congressman in Miami and also – “No Answer to date”.
I never had any issues. This is the 1st time ever filed early…. Never again!!!
-
March 23, 2021 at 1:30 am #4476204Banana Pudding
Hi all. I filed on 2-12 and was accepted on 2-13. After about two weeks my bars and tt went away with “ your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.” My tax transcripts show no return filed. Based on research tax returns are moved to the errors dept to buy more time to process them and it can take 10 weeks to be moved out of error dept and processed. Let’s hope for good news within the 10 weeks from date accepted.

March 22, 2021 at 8:20 am #4475936
I filed my taxes on 2/8, accepted 2/11, all bars disappeared 3/1. TT topic 152 and still processing appeared on 3/5, then on 3/20 I woke up with a DDD of 3/24. I had pretty much given up on getting a refund anytime soon. I did not claim any recovery rebates, but did claim look back, CTC, and EIC.
-

Hello everyone , I called Tax Advocate and was informed they are fixing the “error”. Does anyone know the turn around time to receive taxes once it’s fixed?
-
March 22, 2021 at 12:04 am #4475860Dustin
Still waiting on my return as well. Got my stimulus the day after Biden signed it. My girlfriend got her taxes weeks ago. I filed in January, was accepted Feb 12th. Very frustrating to have to wait. I assume this system goes by last name or SSN or something. I really hope it comes this week!

March 21, 2021 at 11:02 pm #4475854
Mine updated, they changed my amount slightly and listed a lot of things that don’t make sense to me so I’m going to call to ask about it, but I’m so glad it finally says something different. Something close to: “approved and you should receive your notice that explains the changes and the balance of your refund, (my amount), by March 29th.”
I’m glad there’s some movement with yours. I’m going to call them tomorrow!

March 19, 2021 at 3:07 pm #4474832Erica
Finally got in touch with IRS after about 40 tries at 7am. WMR shows no bars, no date, just the “your tax return is still being processed” line with Tax Topic 152. After having to verify a LOT of information, lady told me that they had to adjust my refund due to Economic Impact Payment and they actually doubled the amount that TT said I would get back. Pretty interesting. I was expecting the opposite. May be worth the wait afterall… she said by April 7th I should have an update.
-
March 18, 2021 at 8:57 pm #4474299Nini
And just in case you didn’t know, the irs claims that if you’ve filed by now that you should be receiving your refund (or update of some sort?) By March 22nd. If I get nothing by then I’m just going to give up and let it come when it comes I’m beyond done stressinggggggg :[
-
March 18, 2021 at 8:57 pm #4474298Nini
Okay so I’ve been trying to look into this a bit and apparently if your amount dissapears on wmr that it could mean that you’re receiving your deposit date within about 2 days. Not going to promise this, just from how it seems from reading other people’s situation.

I got an update today. Filed 2/11 with TT
3/1 still processing refund date when available no Tax topic
3/18 still processing refund date when available tax topic is back
Refund amount still there but underneath refund amount it says tax period ending December 31st 2020
Can anyone shed some light or in the same boat? -
March 18, 2021 at 8:33 am #4473881NMM21
After being on the phone for a hour I finally reached someone who told me that my refund had errors, has never had an error out of all the years I have filed, couldn’t tell me what errors but it was fixed by the errors department on the 15th of March and has been sequenced and to give it 4 to 6 more weeks….are they serious? I wanted to scream

Filed feb. 8 accepted feb. 11 through TurboTax with look back and I didn’t need to claim stimulus. Received Advanced. One bar on WMR until March 3 then still processing with amount and no tax topic. Received stimulus in my “new” account on Friday. March 17 tax topic came back. Still no refund pending. Can’t access transcripts. Just my update

-
March 17, 2021 at 9:51 pm #4473667NMM21
F/A 2/12 Still no refund…no stimulus… can’t reach the IRS, trying to get my transcripts and its saying my information is not matching… this is so stressful and I was counting on both to take care of things that needed to be done between this week and next week. I thought filing early would have given me all the time I needed…. not at all.

@RobS I’m in the same situation. Filed 2/12 accepted 2/13. 3/5 bars disappeared with still processing, refund date provided when available.. still no change. I’m really hoping there will be an update this Friday/Saturday. 🙏🏼
-
March 17, 2021 at 10:46 am #4473264RobS
I filed mine Feb 12 and got accepted pretty much the following day. Was displaying the bars but then they went away. it STILL says “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available”
-
March 16, 2021 at 9:14 pm #4472897Nini
Mine was received by irs Feb 12th, since March 5th it has been stuck on still processing, but as of today it no longer shows the amount on the left side when I use the where is my refund tool. I am hoping that its because of the change in child tax credit and is adjusting mine meaning they are actually working on it now….hopefully.

I’m thinking that the error is coming to all of us who claimed CTC and EITC along with filing before the new stimulus package was passed last week. I could be wrong about this, so please don’t take my word for gold.
-
March 15, 2021 at 2:55 pm #4472207
@hernandez I believe a lot of people are getting told they’re in error and they don’t know what error it is. Myself included, the fact that you were able to get through twice and get two separate completely different answers doesn’t give much hope that they even know what they’re doing.
-
March 15, 2021 at 2:43 pm #4472205Erica
Feeling pretty devastated that I will be out $1400 because my 2020 tax return still hasn’t been processed even though I filed end of Jan and was “accepted” by IRS on 2/12. Absolutely devastated.
-
March 14, 2021 at 5:35 pm #4471758ScottT
Filled 2/14/21 got accepted the same day, Turbo tax said it would get deposited on 3/7/21 cant get a hold of anyone from IRS to find out if there is an issue. Last year it took 8 months to get my return hopefully it doesn’t take that long this time.
-
March 14, 2021 at 5:14 am #4471498Jonathan
Absolutely crazy that they are this far behind. Their site screams file electronically and it will be fast. Their 21 day goal is absolute garbage this year. They should have been prepared for this. Undermanned? Sure. Though I doubt EVERY tax return is manually reviewed by a person. Embarrassing to have to wait for MY money that the government has been accruing interest on all year being delayed. Figure it out IRS. You seen this coming!
-
March 13, 2021 at 2:04 pm #4471053DaveT
Article on the Washington Post website “ The IRS is behind in processing nearly 7 million tax returns, slowing refunds as it implements new stimulus.” Looks like I’m part of it., filed 02/12, still processing.
-
March 13, 2021 at 10:15 am #4470786Moopyboop
Your’s could be backed up for quite a while, but even if its close to being processed, you won’t know the deposit date until just a few days before its going to hit if it updates on the system at all. This is also why an irs employee cannot tell you why its in error, because odds are there isn’t one.
-
March 13, 2021 at 10:13 am #4470783Moopyboop
With there being so many backed up, they have sent a lot of these returns into error as basically a way to store them as they are catching up. In return we lose our bars on the where’s my refund tool with it displaying that it is still processing.
-
March 13, 2021 at 10:12 am #4470778
I seen many people say that wmr is the most accurate to see your info. And I call BS. When I did my 2019 taxes it sat at the still processing for a year and then just updated to 2020. I kid you not, I don’t trust it much, go by transcript instead…lol
-
March 13, 2021 at 10:04 am #4470772Moopyboop
This year the irs is extremely under staffed. A lot of these delays, though they affect many, are mostly affecting those in the lower income range such as myself. The reason why is because there were already changes to the system this year and now with stimulus checks and tax breaks in the recently passed bill, it’s changed how taxes are being handled so they have to manually go over each one of these returns.
-
March 12, 2021 at 4:34 pm #4469922soph10
I cant even see my transcripts, I have tried everything and it keeps saying my info doesn’t match what they have on file.. I did get married in August, anyone have any insight on how I can try and get logged in??

Where’s My Refund? has the most accurate and complete information available. IRS representatives don’t have information beyond what’s shown on Where’s My Refund? so you don’t need to call the IRS unless the tool tells you to call. Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day – usually at night.
-
March 12, 2021 at 11:43 am #4469636WF
Everybody here FYI the WMR has the following statement:
Where’s My Refund? has the most accurate and complete information available. IRS representatives don’t have information beyond what’s shown on Where’s My Refund? so you don’t need to call the IRS unless the tool tells you to call. Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day – usually at night. -

Probably is. I spoke to 2 agents last week. First said no issues just needs longer. Second blew me off with 10 weeks nonsense. The guy today seemed to at least give a shit. Was on the phone for nearly 20 mins talking to him. Seemed like he cared and was being honest. Was also apologetic.
-
March 11, 2021 at 7:06 pm #4469087
@whatajoke
I called twice today, the first agent said I wasn’t accepted until the end February, but couldn’t tell me an exact date. The second agent said I had an error but did not know what error because the system would not say. I am wondering if its the same as your situation. -
March 11, 2021 at 6:52 pm #4469086Jason
Watch the news. If your taxes r filed and still processing. It won’t show a 2020 return filed. So it said they will go by 2019 taxes.

Filed “married filing separately” this year. I’m still stuck in processing. Husbands has already been filed & approved. So am I out of this new $1400 stimulus?
-
March 11, 2021 at 6:36 pm #4469081Shannon1978
Filed separately from husband. I’m stuck in processing, his has already been processed. So no stimulus for me if my return isn’t processed by time stimulus is sent out?
-
March 11, 2021 at 5:06 pm #4469032Whatajoke
Just spoke to the most helpful irs agent. I was accepted 2/13. Have the same still being processed. He told me they had an error with the automated system for the first few days now all these millions of returns that got kicked out need to be “manually signed off” and they are told to say 10 weeks but he says normally it’s 2. He expects a ddd of around 3/22 for me after reviewing my return. He said it looks like I’m at the “tail end of the process”.

March 11, 2021 at 4:36 pm #4469024vendi
Filed on 02/12 and accepted. mar 2 status went from being received and processing with tax topic 152 to still being processed refund date as soon as available. Today 03/11 status changed back to approved. with message “We made changes to your tax return that changed the amount of your refund.” every one will get it soon.
-
March 11, 2021 at 2:59 pm #4468981Cookie215
I filed and was accepted on 02/11 my bars and tax topic 152 disappeared on 03/02 with the message your tax return is still being processed a refund date will be provided when available. On 03/05 or 03/06 my tax topic 152 reappeared with the same message. Today my wmr updated with a ddd of 03/15. I claimed CTC, EIC, ACTC, I had unemployment and also used the look back option(2019 income).
-
March 11, 2021 at 2:04 pm #4468946Pri
Usually when you receive the topic 152 message you will receive your tax refund within the next 10-14 days. Topic 152 is a code that the IRS uses to tell the status of each group of refunds. … 171 means that the IRS is still processing your refund. The code number 149 is the one you do not want to see.

@Whatajoke, Thanks for your input. I could talk to one of the people in IRS through (800) 829-0582 press 2 for Spanish. Ext 652. And they did speak in English
My tax return is filed on 18-Feb-2021. She told me no error or letter was sent and just because of all this covid situation and pending 2019 returns it is taking a long time. She asked me to wait for 10 weeks from 18-Feb-2021 and then call them if a refund is not issued

@Whatajoke I kept trying and finally got someone. Basically was told all looks fine just waiting for it to process and can take up to 8 weeks from a date they provided…Looking like end of April for me.

How in the f do you actually get through to somebody at the IRS? I can’t get past the WMR voice prompt, which is the exact same bs message that I see when I check WMR online. Help! 🙏😫

Does anyone know if you are “still in processing” will they use the 2019 bank info for the 3rd stimulus check or 2020 tax return. I changed banks and I would like to get it direct deposited instead of waiting for a paper check. I was also told up to 10 weeks and I don’t have EIC or child tax credit on my taxes.
-
March 11, 2021 at 8:13 am #4468748Jme Freeland
I noticed the amount I’m due is no longer available but in the beginning it shows the acceptance bar on left hand of page showed last four numbers of ssn head of household and amount of return no it shows still processing date provided when available tt152 on left hand of page shows last 4 numbers of my ssn HOH and tax period ending dec 2020
-
March 11, 2021 at 7:32 am #4468731Sarah G.
@Zeke. How did you get this info? Did the IRS tell you this or have you just put it together from what your reading here??
-
March 11, 2021 at 5:44 am #4468694Andre
I filed and was approved on 2/13. After a few days, the message changed to “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.”, with no bar. This morning, it now says “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” (again with no bar). Basically the same meaning, except more hopeful-sounding. Maybe they’re swamped with phone calls and changed the message so people would be less likely to call.

Update: after 6 got through to IRS said he didn’t see what’s causing a hold up yet my return “required further review”. May take 10 weeks. Asked why. Said it didn’t say. Hope that’s a good sign? Said if it was bad IRS would’ve notified me. IMO they’re spewing the same bs to shut us up. Seems they don’t know wth the reason is!

Yes with turbo tax, but I did the free edition this time around. Last time I did the one where I paid which sent my stimulus to wrong account first. This time when I filed I did the free edition. I was accepted on the 12 and show same status and topic 152 as well.

I’ve tried calling the IRS today using every sequence of numbers so many have suggested I use to successfully reach a person instead of an automated pos but wasted my time. Still no answers. Still no change. Still no pending deposits in my account. Has anyone found out anything at all today? I’m really stressed, I have a migraine now

March 10, 2021 at 11:59 am #4468385Paul
Got accepted on 2/12/21, still no status bar or tt152 on WMR, being processed message. Finally got with IRS today. Had to “play the puzzle game” with menu options. They found my Zip code missing a digit after imported from TTX to the IRS. IRS marked my file and sent it to fix. Hopefully in the next 5-7 days, nothing else needed from me.
My suggestion to all is to continue to call, if you don’t, IRS will not feel the sense of urgency to fix their systems. This is their responsibility.

-
March 10, 2021 at 10:07 am #4468332Cal
Called today and got that they see no issues and no letters have been sent and to just wait and see. No status bar or tax topic on WMR just a still being processed message like many others here. Not sure what is going on but there is a serious issue with communication and processing at the IRS currently.
-
March 10, 2021 at 9:29 am #4468318Tad
@Jenrn830
They base it on whichever they have on file, given that yours hasn’t been completely processed it will more than likely go off of your 2019 return.
-
March 10, 2021 at 6:58 am #4468249Jenrn830

-
March 10, 2021 at 5:52 am #4468208Mack
Filed and Received Feb 9 accepted feb 12
Had the notice still processing. Called for a tax advocate and was told they could not help me because the irs needs to verify my identity. I should receive a letter in the next two weeks. I went online and did the online verification and it gave me a notice of up to 9 weeks for processing and to check Where’s My Refund in 2-4 weeks for possible refund update. -
March 9, 2021 at 11:52 pm #4467649bmar808
@Tara I don’t have TT 152 either. Called and got the same generic response that its in error dept, they see nothing wrong, and I may or may not get a letter….or I may just get a refund. It’s pretty much a lot of words with absolutely no substantial info. lol

I’m in the same boat as most of you. My taxes were received on 2/11 and I still have no refund. Says still being processed and I can’t get through to them on the phone. I sure hope they don’t really make us all wait 10 weeks! That is ridiculous. I’m really bummed that we are having this delay and getting no answers. I have 3 of my 4 kids birthdays this month and was counting on my return. Guess late birthdays are better than nothing.

my status has not changed from received with tax topic 152 Transcript N/A. i was able to call the IRS and speak to someone today. she said she can no reveal why it has no been processed i would have to wait up until 10 weeks. i asked 10 weeks after i filed and she said “no ten weeks after this phone call” i also asked about the topic 152 and she said that just means the time of the process could be 21 days could be up to ten weeks. this phone call helped with nothing at all!!

E-filed on 02/09/21
IRS Accepted on 02/12/21
My WMR bars went away last week mid-week and says:
” Your tax return is still being processed.
A refund date will be provided when available.”
Tax Topic 152,
It has been more than 21 days.
I’ve never had a problem with my taxes, so not sure what the deal is.
Just hope the rollout of the new $1400 stimulus does not have a negative affect since it’s based of 2019 or 2020 taxes. 🤷♂️ -

She also stated it may take up to 10 weeks to be resolved and that I should receive a letter. Got through today.
Filed 1/19
Accepted 2/11
TT152- 2/18
My issue is I claimed my 2nd stimulus on my taxes Which I was due to me changing bank accounts. They only show that one was sent Not that it was rejected. getting issued a letter the 22nd and adjusted return released the 28th. She has no clue what I’m supposed to do being that I was notified to claim it via a letter She noted the account and said the letter will give me directions on how to dispute the stimulus issue. -

Filed 2/5/21. Accepted 2/12/21. WMR still on return still being processed. Will update when refund available. Finally got through IRS by calling 844-545-5640 and follow prompts for questions about tax credits. When you get through they will direct you to another department Just say individual tax department when he/she asks how to route your call. Nothing holding up my return, just backlogged. Could be up to 12 weeks. Next week another batch will be run and WMR should be fully restored

@Brianna I was wondering that too I got PUA & used my 2019 info. I called twice & both times they didn’t see any problems so I’m not sure wth is going on. When I go onto turbo my federal isn’t there anymore & the blue progress line that shows when it’s accepted & when your refund is sent is complete. It was stuck on 1/2 for weeks. My WMR has no bars, the “your refund is still being processed” & the TT 152.

I did HRB and filed Jan 25. Accepted day of opening. Still processing. Was told if anything was wrong I’d recieve a letter. Had a new baby on mine. As well has his stimulus 1100. IRS says they’re pushing back deposits by 2 weeks. Said give it a couple weeks. Best time to call is after 5.

Filed 2/19.. being processed up until this morning now it says still being processed no topic 152 anymore and no bars.. my file or acceptance date doesn’t fit into the acceptance date “glitch” batch mentioned below so not sure what to think. Anyone think it may have something to do with those of us who received unemployment last year by any chance?
-
March 9, 2021 at 10:06 am #4467234Yrok
Mine was accepted on 17 Feb, so not in the time frame mentioned below. I started receiving the other message yesterday as well. My 21 days isn’t up until tomorrow but it sounds like I shouldn’t be expecting my refund by tomorrow based on what everyone is saying below. I claimed a new child this year and had another large credit too. Did anyone else claim new credits this year?

I have same message on WMR with TT152 showing. Received a 60-day review letter on 3/1 after filing on 2/12 and acceptance on 2/13. 2/27 bars and TT disappeared but amount and last 4 of social remained. 3/6 updated to return still being processed and TT 152 came back. Not sure what to make of it at this point.
-
March 9, 2021 at 8:20 am #4467147dora
@Jacob no one is acting entitled…. It is their overpayment to the government tax system. It is not a handout, it is not social services… It is not welfare. It is their money. For example i prepaid my taxes quarterly because I own 2 businesses. Well guess what I overpaid and I want my money back so that I can handle my business affairs that have cropped up due to Covid. So please pipe down because you don’t know anyone’s situation on this site.

Nope. I have it to. That topic is just direct deposit. That’s what topic 152 is. Just explaining you’re set up for DD
-
March 9, 2021 at 6:37 am #4467116Andrew
Is everyone that getting topic 152 ,got unemployment last year ? Maybe they holding it till the 1.9 trillion bill pass . Cause the first 10,000 is going be untaxbale. And since we already file before it pass , we paid the tax for it already. So maybe they holding them so they can correct it after bill pass n make us pay less tax
-
March 9, 2021 at 6:21 am #4467109Idkwhattoput
HR Block thinks it could be the rebate for stimulus that they’re double checking. I’ve called everyday to both IRS and HR Block. The best time to call is after 5:30pm your time. Or right at 7am
You’ll go through the call. In order to get to a person you press
2.. next 1 and then 3 and then 2 itll ask for your social. Twice. Dont put it in. Next you’ll select 2 and then next 4. It’ll take you to someone. -
March 9, 2021 at 6:18 am #4467108Idkwhattoput
The topic 152 is just direct deposit and its nothing to worry about.
I also have been stuck in processing for some time. They said I would of recieved a letter by now. I filed also with HR Block. I’m tired of thwn saying it’s because of the stimulus. Because they already said they finished sending out stimulus checks. And so far there is a decrease of people who filed. Yet they’re more behind then last year. -

@bowl
@ThaStar
Sorry, this was not told by IRS, most of the IRS agents are temps that don’t know anymore than the collective knowledge of this group here. This is just my best guess after weeks of reading posts and scouring forums. And honestly it makes sense. They have to store returns somewhere till they can accept them. Then they slowly process them out, usually later than sooner. -

I file for my family every year. I filed my sister on 1/31, accepted 2/10, she received her return on 2/24. My daughter and I filed 2/2, accepted 2/12, we have not received as of 3/8. We are stuck on still processing.

Repost …For those who are showing still processing and or have to verify identity, where you one of TurboTax, Jackson Hewitt or H&R Block customers who stimulus was sent to an incorrect bank account or only received partial payment?

@brayb …..I’m thinking that is the major issue. Hopefully more people confirm this theory.

Ok people that are saying EVERYONE that was accepted between the 11th and 14th or 12th and 14th or whatever are all waiting due to being resequenced are wrong. My daughter filed and was accepted the same day I was. She has the same credits as well and she received her refund wednesday Feb 24th as did my brother who also was accepted same day as me. So it’s not everyone. I would think of you don’t receive a letter that you will eventually get a ddd.

March 8, 2021 at 7:08 pm #4466962Tad
This happened to me the last 2 years and this year as well, I claimed child tax credit on all years. Tends to deposit around March 14 or close. At least for me. I’m not concerned and I do not think you should be. The other year this was sort of a topic too especially among those who claimed credits and they seemed to be deposited around the same time mine was from the comments I had read at the time on forums.

Anyone getting the idea that this is happening to millions of people? Just read through these forums, you are not alone. Stop depending on something that was never there in the first place. Wait and go about your life, entitlement is a sad replacement for patience.

-
March 8, 2021 at 6:58 pm #4466955K87

-
March 8, 2021 at 6:34 pm #4466945ThaStar
@Zeke Did you get told this by IRS? I am just hoping this is true.

It has nothing to do with stimulus money or look back credit or any of that. It only has to do with when you were accepted. All those that filed before 2/11 and were accepted on 2/11 or the following 4 days after, were sent to the hold department and they only recently started processing those on 3/5, when the bars dropped. So we should all see movement in the next 2 weeks. And by movement I mean a deposit, this Wednesday or next.

@Mack Yes, I was part of that group. I did eventually get my stimulus $$ but it went to SBBT bank instead of my own checking account. You make an interesting point. I wonder if that has something to do with it? I wish more people wouls respond to your questiom.

I am experiencing the same thing. I actually was able to get thru to a live IRS agent and was told that my refund is in further review and has a 10 week hold and I receive a letter.

A refund date will be provided when available.
Accepted Feb 13 at 8:43 PM
No Contact as of 3/8/2021

Sane thing has happened to me! I filed feb 8th. My taxes were accepted and all that stuff on the 12th it said. It used to give me the status bar, but not the last week I’ve checked. It keeps saying the irs is preparing my refund and they’ll send me a date when its available. This is crap man, I need my money..

For those who are showing still processing and or have to verify identity, where you one of TurboTax, Jackson Hewitt or H&R Block customers who stimulus was sent to an incorrect bank account or only received partial payment?

I’ve been stuck on still processing etc. for two weeks now… no topic 152, except today when I logged on I have topic 152🤷🏻♀️I’m on a lot of these forums and from what I have gathered anyone who got accepted between 2-10 to 2-13 got resequenced and there is a delay, all the early filers got screwed ☹️ But many people have come back that there wmr updated and now have them dd date so I’m hopeful 🤞🏻Good luck everyone

Filed 1/29 accepted 2/9, Eric and actc sitting with still being processed but it changed to that last week, I got my refund on the 19th. On the other hand my partner filed on 2/11 accepted same day had one bar then last Sunday went to still being processed with it 152 and amount still there he has eitc actc and look back and unemployment. Both are basically the same as they have been for 10 years. So there is no rhyme or reason this year

Opalmoon75, did you use the lookback also?

I am still waiting since Feb 12 when I filed turbo tax. I tried to call IRS on March 5 but recording says they cannot accept call and to try calling on another day. IRS:1-800-829-1040 was the number I was told to call.

I have the same message, no bars, but I stoppped having the 152 thing on my screen as of yesterday. What does that mean that it’s now gone?
-
March 6, 2021 at 1:19 pm #4465762Jason
Bars always disappears on the 21 day mark. It’s still being processed. Think alot of people who got accepted 12th or 13th got resequenced and it’s gonna take a little bit. Tax topic 152 is a good thing. Like last year I got resequenced. Took awhile but I finally got it. I don’t know how the system is doing this year but apparently it’s not in order.

Tax return was accepted on 2-13-2021. 3-6-2021 marks exactly 21 days since return has been accepted. Had one bar on 2-5-2021 now no bars and return is still being processed Tax topic 152.
-
March 6, 2021 at 1:08 pm #4465758Tia
