Good news/ bad news for those w/o a DDD

So I just want to share my personal experience:
Filed 1/27 with H&R online.
According to them, return was accepted 1/28
Still no DDD

So today I contacted the IRS because Im having some financial issues right now and NEED this refund.
A Mr. Wilson gave me the whole 21 day spill but adv me to call a TA if no DD within 21 days.

Well, I’m impatient. I contacted TA service and an agent looked at my refund.

They did not accept my refund until 2/1!!!!!!!!!! Not 1/28.
But she did give me a projected DDD of 2/15.

Filed 1/25 accepted same day. Still on one bar. Just got done talking to a tax advocate, was told they received my return 1/25 and it is still being processed and it could be delayed 1 week so if I don’t see it by Monday then I should receive it ending of week 2/20. So far no errors on my return either

filed 1/29 accepted 30 minutes later used h&r still not able to order transcripts of any form and still 1 bar and tax topic 152 but people who filed after me have already gotten their’s …this year makes less sense than last

I told the TA I didnt want to utilize resources unnecessarily…. She agreed that made sense and checked into my refund

“I guess my main concern is I dont want to apply for an expedite if I dont need one cuz Im sure you guys are busy” it was something along those lines

I filed 1/26 and found out I had to ID Verify 2/4

The next call was to the tax advocates group

They told me I couldn’t speak to or obtain and advocate until after 21 day..

How did you get around this?

I’m so anxious for any movement. I filed with H&R on 1/22 got accepted 30 min later and still stuck at 1 bar. Irs said they didn’t receive it until the 23rd….not too bad but if that’s the case what’s the hold up? They said there were no offsets. Ughhhhhhhh

No bars on WMR, no transcripts, no topic…

When I called today I was told they couldn’t see anything other than delay in processing…6-8 weeks from 2/1. I wasn’t sure where they got that date from but, based on your answers, I’m going to assume mine wasn’t actually accepted until 2/1.

I hope I’m in that 2/15 boat with you guys.

I feel bad for other people that really need it for more useful purposes. I just want new wheels for my car before show season starts so I’m not TOO upset.

Same for me! I filed on 1/30 and accepted on 1/30 just a few minutes later. I could check WMR starting on 1/31/16 and I called the TA service and they told me that the IRS shows it received on 2/3!!!!! That is crazy!!!

They could not give me any info other than that it is processing. I can’t order a return transcript so I have given up hope for tomorrow’s update. Maybe I will be in the 2/15 club too!

I hope so too. I know there are still a lot of people from late January who haven’t received a DDD so I know its coming but this has been such a long wait!!!!!

Im assuming tomorrow’s WMR update should take care of most of the people who are waiting.

This new system sucks but at least next year we’ll know not to bank on getting them sooner than 2 weeks!

I am in the exact situation. Filed 1/29 accepted 2/29 according to TT.
1 Bar code 152
Able to order account 2/5
Nothing since
Have had wmr since 29th. So hopefully my situation will follow yours and I will have it by monday

Thanks! Oddly enough I was able to check WMR on 1/29 but they’re still saying 2/1 is what the acceptance date was.

Weird stuff has been happening this year!!!

I just asked the tax advocate service to check for me because I didn’t want to utilize resources (hardship expedite request) if it was coming soon. So if you get too anxious you may wanna try that.

I know Wednesdays usually bring huge updates!!!!! Good luck!

Yay for your projected DDD. I am still waiting for some kind of answer and was accepted 01/19…. according to Tax Slayer. I also know IRS had it because the next day it said on WMR that it was received.

OH and WMR shows 1bar and tax topic 152.
Able to order account transcripts but not return transcripts.

Also, H&R will be waiving my filing fees due to this discrepancy and the fact that you cannot check ACH deposit like you can with other tax services.

Going back to TT next year!!!
