Just an FYI…checks havent been sent yet..the reason some people are seeing deposits is because some banks are fronting the money. For example CHIME -they sent 1000 people stimulus from their own money.

@Fmhelton, correct. The title and post both could have been worded better.

I apologize for the duplication of posts.

@MommaJess0312, we’re not saying that the IRS hasn’t initiated the payments. What we’re saying is that there’s a time lag between the time that the payment is initiated and when it posts to the recipient’s account. That lag isn’t over yet.

@MommaJess0312, no one is saying that the IRS hasn’t initiated payments; what we’re saying is that it takes time between the initiation of the payment and when the payment posts to the recipient’s account. There’s a wait that hasn’t been fulfilled yet.

I’m understanding what you wrote, my guess is the way this original post maybe should have been worded differently?

Actually the original post would be more accurate as I’ve edited it in this post. The title should read, “Stimulus payments received SO FAR are being fronted….” But even those that are fronted are on the advice of pending payment by the government.

I just shared pretty much the same info on this 😂. I’ve been trying to read up and see if there was a certain way they were doing the deposits in or if it’s all just a pull a name from the hat type of thing. Any idea?

The IRS sends a record to the bank days before the deposit so they know what to expect (amount) for each individual.

How would the bank know what credits were claimed and if they are married ..?

Not true, I personally know people that have received their stimulus and it twas not fronted by the bank.
